Hi just wondering if Affinity Photo is compatible with PSD multichannel documents ? Could such a file be opened and edited and re-saved in psd format ? Does photo have its own multichannel format and can this be opened with photoshop ? Similar question for Affinity Designer, is it compatible with AI format ? Can Ai files be opened edited and re-saved in AI format ? What is the native format for Designer files and is this compatible with AI ? Ive been using Adobe apps for 25 years so very interested in Affinity products. If the answers to the above questions are favourable making the change will be a no brainer. thanks. -
When I try to export from my iPad as an EPS to my laptop something happens to the strokes, this is what it looks like on both. Can someone help?

so basically i am working on a project but i need the letters outside the line deleted and i dont know how to can anyone help. i dont want to delete the whole thing i need the line and letters inside just not outside. it is overlapping and i need the outside letters to be deleted.

Hi all im wondering if you can make a media / workspace like in Lightroom in affinity Photo, if you can how do you do it ? im annoyed i have to load all the picture/photos in to infinity photo manualy and have to locate the Directory where my photos stored every time , can anyone help me with this ? Hi, Please help, I am trying to turn a colour photo into a b & w pencil sketch, but I am struggling to get detail on the finished image. I want to apply this to nature photos, and right now I am trying it out on a kingfisher photo. I honesty do not have enough knowledge about Affinity to know where I am going wrong. Hey folks, So i've run into an odd bug/feature that i can't find any answers to. Essentially a grouping of paths with the stroke centered on the path looks as desires, but when i group it the group bounds size to the path and not the visible stroke. I realize a workaround would be to have the outer shape have an inner stroke, but i'm hoping to get a better fix. Below is a before and after grouping picture on the paths in question: Before grouping Before grouping with bounding boxes shown After grouping With bounding box shown You can see that the group bounding box fits to the path and not the stroke and hides the overflowing stroke as a result. Additionally, this only happens when grouping them all together, the corner shapes are grouped and do not show this effect. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Linc.

Hi. I'll cut to the chase here because I'm just about in tears over what seems like a very dumb problem. I was working on a vector design (a simple candy heart) and trying to get a feel for the tools. This is my first time with Designer (trying out the trial version), but I've been using similar programs for decades. I accidentally used the Artboard Tool. When everything disappeared, I undid the action. Except nothing was undid. The Artboard is gone, but I cannot see any of my objects, despite them being visible on the layers menu. No matter how far I go back on the history menu, none of my objects reappear, and if I try to select anything it shows "0 objects". This is no "Artboard" on my layers. This was within the first ~10 mins of using this program, and I have spent the better part of the last hour searching the forums trying to undo this one simple click, to no avail. When I try to view the full image at 100%, it's suddenly almost non-existent. I'll include my view mode panel as well.

I've noticed that affinity photo is slowing down a lot, and I've downloaded lots of fonts from google and I want to remove the ones I no longer use, but I can't. I can't find any information on this at all and simply deleting the file doesn't do anything. Can anyone help me please?- 5 replies

Hey guys, I am a real beginner and thought about buying the Affinity Designer Workbook. My Question is now, are the books even up to date? The Affinity Designer Workbook is from 2016. How much has changed in the program itself and the features... Would you guys recommend me to buy the book or is it not worth it anymore?

Hey! So for some reason both my Designer and Photo show whites as yellows. I cannot fix this and I definitely know it isn't a problem with my monitor since I can clearly see the photos I edit as normal before importing them into Photo. Also, in Designer, the empty background is white, but the white brush is not. Please help. Thanks! Examples:

Hi Friends, Good morning and I hope you all are well! I have been looking for an answer on this and have not been able to find it. Perhaps one of you can shed some light on this. In the image below you will see 3 separate curves. The first curve has an image/overlay paper texture clipped to it as you can see in the layers panel. Is there a way to clip/overlay this texture on all 3 separate curves at once WITHOUT using the Add function to make all of the curves one? (More specifically, I would like to apply the texture to all 3, while still being able to move and stretch each curve individually.) Thank you

Hi made a miltipage document and converted to PDF. Use the print from the pdf or file that document uses, but there a pic that not printed, have seen it happen in InDesign and linked to above postscript. Also seen it when I work long time with a digital printing. I would like to know how fix it. The screen has the pic but not when it prints. If affinity want to get in contact please do. I started making more images in affinity photo again and I've noticed that the colors are extremely off. The colors appear much whiter than they should be. Here is an example: The grayness scale RGB Color What the actual color is As you can see, the grayness is much higher than it should be. When I use a color picker, the image's rgb is 43,43,43, which is much higher than it should be. I can't make any accurate dark pictures on Affinity Photo because of this. Is there a way to fix this?

Hi, 1 - I have been working on this Publisher file for two days and now I can't open it. It seems it is corrupted. I have also tried to open the document with the beta version, without any luck. Could you please have a look to the file and try to send back a recovery version? Thank you! 2 - I suggest it would be a great thing to get an auto-save folder with increments by default to avoid any problems like this (I have lost two days of work which I believe is a serious matter). Please help. I downloaded Publisher and it would only let me place it in Dropbox, but It won’t save or open it in Dropbox. I have both Affinity Photo and Designer and didn’t experience this problem. -
I am using Affinity Photo and I have exported an image, but the colors are all f'd up on some programs. Attached are some images showing the discrepancy. I have no clue why they won't display correctly on most programs, especially since some are displaying it correctly.

It would be great to have the contextual help extend throughout the UI. For example, some of the icon options in the Node tool’s contextual tool bar are cryptic at first glance. My affinity designer keep lagging once I draw a fair amount of art on my canvas and after a while it crashes its so annoying and never did this till yesterday pleeeaasssseee HELP!! I need to get my art done I've tried all I can. restarted my whole computer shut it down all. I have an MacOS... Processor - 3.4 GHz intel Core i5, Memory - 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3 (I've deleted several things from my Mac and have lots of space for more) Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 2 GB. Please get back to me!
