Hi all i have a big problem i was a AI and PS user for a long time and now with the 1.9 update AFFINITY DESIGNER uses ALT + SCROL to rotate the Canvas(Project) I used AutoHotKey to remap ALT=CTRL but is messy and can't remove curve points when creating a curved shape I want to ask you guys if there is a way to remap : CTRL+scroll wheel ALT+scroll wheel SHIFT+scroll wheel- 2 replies

Hello! I couldn't find anything regarding this and I need some help. I'm on a mac and recently updated photo to 1.9. When using the move tool with a mouse to move the object, it gets blurred out whereas when i move it using the arrow keys, it keeps the sharpness. I've attached a pic as an example of what's happening, I'm not sure if it's a bug but I don't recall it happening in the previous version I had (1.8.4) I used tones to try and show it more clearly. Thank you in advance! Edit* to the mods approving this, I found the solution! for some reason, the forced pixel alignment was turned off. Please disregard!

If I buy Affinity photo on App Store for Mac M1, then can I use it also on my iPad Pro? Or do I have to buy it again in the iPad app store? -
Just bought the newest Affinity. I can't get things like the polar coordinates filter to work. I can't get the warp tool to work. I can't get several other tools to work such as adding a gradiant. What can I do about nothing working? this program is installed on a PC with Windows 10. -

Hello Everyone, I decided to purchase affinity designer and photo today, however, when i entered my credit card info and pressed the pay button the website gave me an error message that said that my payment had been declined, in that moment my banking app notified me that the purchase was done(and so the money was billed), i checked my account and it shows no order history nor licenses and the money in my bank app is now gone. is there anything that i can do to get my money refunded or the software licenses? Thanks everyone -
So I purchased affinity designer for windows and after going to my downloads and order listing... it doesn't seem to pop up. The payment was being a little glitchy so I'm guessing there is just some issue there and it'll be resolved after contacting support which I have already. I'm posting on here just in case I'm missing something. - V -
When I open the Help file from the menu it does not show correctly. If I cl;ick a link it showas in a small window bottom left. How can this be resolved so the file shows correctly?

help everything on the color wheel is black. Ive tried changing the document settings. i have the document set to rgb16 and rgb. i have uninstalled and reinstalled. i have restarted my computer. I have gone into preferences and made changes and nothing seems to work. Ive looked all over google and it doesnt look like anyone has my issue.

Hello my name is zac and i just recently downloaded affinity designer yesterday and wheni first opened it everything on my color wheel is black, i have been looking around the internet for a solution to my problem and i cant seem to find anyone that has my issue. when i drag pictures in its black. when i try changing up the colors in the document settings there is no change. i made sure the file wasnt in grayscale. i have restarted my computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and that didnt fix it. I just want to use my new program and i am frustrated beyond belief does anyone have any idea

Hello guys, I just got Affinity Designer on my macbook because I'm interested in learning graphics design, and this seems like a great app to start with. I am stuck at how to cut inside a curve shape. I looked but can't find the answer, please help me understand how to do it. I attached a screenshot of the curve line where I want to cut the curve shape. I appreciate your time! Luca

Hi there, I'm trying to expand the outer shadow I've applied to an object so it can be manipulated independently of the source object. e.g. I have a vector of a windmill, I apply the outer shadow to the windmill, expand the outer shadow to its own layer, add a shear to the outer shadow to add perspective to the shadow. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Best, J -
Is there a way to clip or grab imported bitmaps on the fly and clip them - At the top of this image, the bitmap isn't quite right - but in the spirit of non-destructive editing - or 'tweaking the colors' of the bitmap, I could clip the bitmap fill until it looked right... adjusting the repeating fills around it.... If we can't - makes a good feature request : )

I have a habit of searching for help on a particular topic, reading the help, closing the window, promptly forgetting what I have just read and having to repeat. I doubt that I am alone. Would it be possible for the "Help" window to include a list of the last few topics searched? -
Hey Guys, Long story short: I was using Affinity Photo 1.8.4 and my computer (macbook pro osx Sierra) crashed. Once I restarted my computer and reopened the program, the project file I was previously working on said my file appears to be corrupted. Is there anyway my work can be restored? Thanks

So I’ve been trying to export this picture that I made to PDF and it isn’t working. Random lines show up and letters are missing. Even some of the color that I put in has moved and isn’t showing up. I don’t know what’s going on at all. I’m trying to do PDF print and PDF for export so that I can use this as a logo. All of the layers are normal Would it be better to use PNG instead for printing a logo? I need the vector to come out beautifully. Gin Glow RGB final?.pdf Gin_Glow_RGB_).pdf -
Basically what i'm trying to do it color in any image for an online class project but what I found really wasn't working so I don't know if someone could make a tutorial on this with affinity photo if you have the time or explain how in the best was possible so I can "understand" (learning style wise) since i'm still trying to learn more about affinity or if you know a better method or anything would just as helpful. Hi folks have loved using Affinity Photo design for the last few years and will never be going back to Photoshop. I am having issues however with getting the Library Macros to work, ie Light Leaks , neon fade and all that fun stuff. They all import however when clicking they do not apply or bring up any menu Can someone help? -

Ungrouping anything in any file in affinity designer 1.8.3 for MacOS breaks most element on the screen screen and undoing the ungroup does not fix it, neither does reverting to a earlier snapshot. I am fairly new to the program but I'm pretty sure that this isn't supposed to happen, not sure if it's something I have done or just a bug with my version. AFFINITY_DESIGNER_UNGROUP_BUG.mov

I’m a fashion student so do a lot of my technical drawings on this app, however I’m having trouble exporting them. SVG is really the only file that when exported still gives me crisp clear lines but recently I’ve started having issues I’ve attached an example of one of my drawings vs what happens when it exports, ill export it as an svg (for export) and ill go into my files and it will look completely fine within a few minutes I go back to see if it’s all good and I’m left with either nothing or one small part of a drawing . I’d appreciate any help or advice on this issue I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if there is something else I can export it as without compromising the quality? I’ve attached screenshots below.

In illustrator when drawing with the pencil you can see the outline of where you're drawing. Is this possible in affinity? Seems pretty odd that it's invisible until you raise your pen from the tablet. -
Hey there! Been using Publisher to design bulletins and whatnot for a couple of people. Each person has their own branding style and information, which (due to how I build the bulletins) can make rebranding take a while. I've been theorizing a system where I can simply select which brand the bulletin is being built for and automatically adjust colors and fonts the way I need them but I don't know how to actually make it effective in Publisher. I thought about using text styles but that seems like it could be rather inefficient. Any ideas?
