After years of begging, and multiple posts and negatives reviews, Serif insists on denying support for Arabic/Hebrew writing. Every release you tell me that the feature is coming, and it is on your roadmap. Kindly, I would like to ask for a refund for my V2 purchases as I am reaching a dead-end with this. I am sticking to Adobe Suite even though it is not free just to use this writing. Thank you for continuous efforts to disappointment. Gmail - Arabic and RTL Support.pdf

I'm a Hebrew speaker, and Affinity softwares aren't supporting right-to-left languages, which means I have to write everything backward. Lately, I've heard about a software called "RTL Fixer", which suppose to help me write normally in my language in Affinity. The problem is there is no "about" page or any information about the developer, and even not a trial version. Does anyone here uses RTL Fixer and can tell me about the software? Is it good, is it works, is it safe, is it trustable? Thanks! https://rtlfixer.com/

I do a lot of desktop publishing with right-to-left languages (Hebrew, Arabic) and when I try to type text in these languages, the letters display correctly but not in the proper right-to-left order. Will this be supported in the final release (fingers crossed) or a 1.1 release (please!) Also, such documents require page spreads to be reversed (i.e. page 2 is on the right, page 3 is on the left). Optimistically, I see a tab under typography with the option: Hebrew Script, but I don't see what that does.

The affinity app on iPad doesn’t support Hebrew. In the last 4 years I have seen some apps that doesn’t have rtl full support - but none of them was unable to use like affinity u cant even write one line. Why u don’t add rtl? We don’t need full support , just the text going rtl. The iPad do it automatically with EVERY APP. please fix this. (5 years ago - photoshop for os fix this issue- before the MacBook didn’t had Hebrew support. The iPad is fully Hebrew support from the start. Even I right now u don’t adding this feature to os and windows version- please add it on the iPad - it’s simple thanks

Lacking the ability to use right-to-left paragraphs for type, renders this wonderful software almost useless to a quite a large chunk or prospect users. Is it really so costly to develop this ability? After all, language is what we use to communicate—what other purpose does this software have if not to communicate words and visual messages? So far it's the only issue that prevents me from purchasing the app...

If you search "rtl support" or "support arabic text" you'll find that it's a very old and frequently wished feature. So please add rtl support to AD or at least add it to your road map as it is a very basic feature. Affinity designer is called to be a UI design tool. But what is the use of it when one can not type and work with text an typography? Currently you can't work with persian, hebrew, arabic, urdu ... and all the rtl languages in AD and it's not even mentioned in the introduction of the app in the Appstore or in the website!

I have some design assignments that will use mixed text with English and languages that use Right-to-Left scripts. Unless I'm mistaken, I can't switch directions within a Text Frame. This necessitates either layering in text in post (using another program), or laboriously breaking the text into multiple sections and aligning the words manually. Having the ability to switch directions midstream would be very helpful!

I just downloaded Affinity after reading all the glowing reviews. Looks and works great, but I want to second the motion to support right to left languages such as Hebrew.
