  2. Hi, newbi here. got affinity photo in my 2020 MacBook Air m1. when using Inpainting or any other Healing tools even though I choose the brush hardness, opacity, flow to 100 I'm getting blurred edges ! only in clone tool I'm getting hard edges. I was wondering if there is away around it or I'm missing something ?
  3. Can someone please explain why the settings for the clone tool and the healing brush tool mimic one another? When the settings are changed on one tool, the other tool settings are changed also. Is there a way around this? Thanks.
  4. Allow us to create cloning and healing tool brushes by utilizing the right click or control/option/command to easily create different brushes. It took me a bit to find out how to create these by going into More. Also figuring out how to find the modes like, Lighten, Darken, Multiple, was hard to find. These should be on the top of the screen, easy to locate. Also, I couldn't rotate the brushes or save them. It only allowed me to rotate one way and not the other. Thanks
  5. Hi! I've got some issue with Patch Tool. When I'm using it, my photo in the place I choose to replace, becomes blurry. It looks so if I was changing the transparent settings to low, but that's not true. I have no idea what I could do with this problem. Have any one of you got issue like this one?
  6. What's the best way to clone/heal on an image that isn't fully opaque? For example, if I wanted to remove the splat from the attached file. I can use the Inpainting Brush tool as it preserves transparency, however depending on the image the inpainting tool doesn't always work, so I'm looking for a way to manually choose the clone source (for example with the Clone Brush tool, the Healing Brush tool or the Patch tool). However, those tools multiply the transparency making the cloned area darker.
  7. In general I am enjoying the Affinity trial but note a few 'issues'. Speeds of analysing images in many modes is annoyingly slow. Using healing tool anywhere near an edge tends to leave a blurred -density blob. The healing tool is excellent in the main. Converting image to jpeg via export defaults to 85% each time I would like to keep default at 100%-maybe I haven't sussed where this preference can be set. File size on many images in JPEG export (at 100%) is very much larger than I am used to seeing in Photoplus8 even with minimal modifications applied. On a positive note, love Haze reduction and the tone mapping presets.
  8. Hi there! I'm new and enthusiast. Yesterday I heard about this project and got my link. And started right away. Still working a lot with old negatives and slides I often use the correction clone tools in PS. There are also correction tools of this kind here, but: the healing brush requires cloning from nearby, and the blemish removal makes things worse instead of better, it puts blemish extra in (in the pictures I used). The PS quick retouch works with pixels from the surrounding part of the picture, so you sometimes can even "paint" away a scratch, with the tools provided here you need to re-locate step by step. I'll see where it leads, it already looks very nice
  9. Hello again. This time I want to provide another round of suggetions for Affinity Designer Pixel Persona or for Affinity Photo for Windows: Important: - Clonning stamp/healing tool - Save selections for later use - Twist/Warp objects and textfields (like to fit a label in a bottle) - Content aware (to fill empty spaces with pixels from an image) - Effects (liquify, crystalize, clouds, etc.) - Create an editable shape from a selection and save the shapes - Dotted stroke style - Animator Persona (GIF) - Distort and Skew Tools - Save document settings (width, height, paper format, resolution, color mode) Optional: - 3D Persona (import and edit 3D models, .collada specifically from Blender) - Knife tool to cut shapes in a half - Numeric stepper or slider for the font size box - Polygonal Lasso/Selection Tool - Channels (R,G,B,Alpha, and delete/duplicate channels and making selections from them) I'm ready to purchase both AD and AP for Windows when they are released!
