  1. Is anyone here familiar with the process of creating HDRi maps in Affinity Photo for 3d modeling? I am struggling to find info on the correct process. I did find some documentation from Affinity, but there was just not very much info on it and I still am a bit confused on how to correctly set this up. Thanks to anyone that can throw me a video or more detailed explanation! Best, Jordan
  2. I've noticed this feature being asked about in other threads and wanted to share my desire for batch merging to HDR in Affinity Photo. As someone who does a lot of HDRI work I've gone through my fair share of different software searching for the best results (Photomatix, HDR Expose, Dynamic Photo HDR along with pano stacking with Autopano Giga and PTGui etc). After purchasing Affinity Photo I've found that in most if not all cases it's HDR merging has the best automatic ghost removal and processing of any app I've used, yet it's the only one without some sort of batch tools for multiple stacks. Currently I am manually sorting through 500+ separate stacks for a project I'm working on and would greatly appreciate (as well as pay for) a means of running these through a script to automate it all.
  3. Hi, I searched quite a bit, but couldn't find a way to partially modify the exposure in a 32-bit image to create a, none tone mapped, HDRI to be used as lighting in 3d software. In a nutshell: I want to create a 32-bit HDRI and increase the exposure within masked areas to different values, pretty much like the Exposure control in Photoshop. The exposure adjustment layer would require me to paint the influence mask after applying, but it does not seem to be able to increase the exposure value in a way necessary for IB lighting. Using the Develop Persona allows me to increase the exposure value for the whole image, but requires me to calculate color values in advance to, e.g. create a grey background with "lights". Am I missing something or should this go into a feature request? TIA, Erik
  4. Hello, First of all I have to say thank you for doing an alternative to photoshop (and illustrator) it is more than welcome! I am doing some 14k hdri panorama editing at the moment and found some things which unfortunately work not as well as in photoshop yet. Maybe there is a way to fix them!? The process: To get rid of the tripod in the picture it is necessary to do some clone stamping. So what you do is flipping the image vertically and then use the rectangular to polar filter to unstretch the floor. after clone stamping you use the polar to rectangular filter and flip the image vertically another time. The Problems: - after using the polar to rectangular filter the top of the image does a weird stretching (photoshop doesn't do that) what I do to avoid this is just making a mask and only paint in the edited (clone stamped) parts. Unfortunately the second problem is bigger: - after using the polar to rectangular filter the image is unsharp and has a weird jpeg like artifact pattern.
