  1. Hi! Total beginner to Affinity Designer here (a bit of Photoshop experience in the past). I need some help walking through the steps of converting some handwritten text to a vector(?), and then smoothing out from there. Trying to create a logo! Any help would be much appreciated - I'm lost! Thank you!!
  2. could we please request better vector handwriting support? chinese or japanese characters require much more visual feedback and stroke fidelity than alphabetic characters the vector pencil tool would work if we had an option to hide the nodes until (re)selected, i.e. option to hide automatic node display, as the nodes obscure visual feedback for handwriting the vector brush tool has too much auto smoothing/lag even with no stabiliser enabled, distortion in alphabetic/english handwriting is ‘relatively’ minor (for non-calligraphers) but completely distorts handwritten kanji of normal proficiency (i realise the team might not include a native-speed kanji writer so this might not be an obvious deficiency) hope i am just missing an existing option somewhere… warmest wishes, maki
  3. Sorry for the complete novice post - I'm utterly confused and have watched the tutorial videos but can't seem to find one that does what I want to do (I'm not even sure if what I want to do is a 'thing'!) I am a hand-lettering lettering artist, and I want to be able to digitise my work so that they can be used for website logos etc. I have been told I need to scan them in, and then use a software like Affinity to turn it into a vector, which will then allow me to enlarge it without it becoming pixelated. How do I do that?! And how do I select the black writing to make it black (I guess from the scan at the moment it's a little grey - I need to change the levels to make the black, blacker)? And then move the logo around?! All help gratefully received by this confused beginner!
