  1. This time I share here my Halloween Assets I + II set, these assets are mostly vector based silhouettes with a few exceptions. The two sets do contain various things in order to create some spooky Halloween graphics. The corresponding assets files: halloween1.afassets halloween2.afassets You can for example do things like these with those Halloween assets ... - Have fun at Halloween!
  2. Here's a little fall season set of some assets & styles for the community. Caution: the included Fall & Halloween styles are very huge in size, since these styles are build out of 3600 x 3600 px bitmaps, so they can also be used on demand for higher-res printing purposes here. The corresponding fall assets & styles set files: fall-assets.afassets (275 KB) fall-holloween.afstyles (283 MB) - Have a nice fall time!
  3. I’ve been sketching a lot of wolves lately as a basis for this werewolf character design, so hopefully it’s helped ☺️ feedback welcome
  4. Here is a Polaroid photo storyboard example as a Halloween theme, you can reuse or modify/customize it to your individual needs ... ... in it's actual state this is setup for placing 2 photos inside. You can place your photos easily as child layers into the indicated left and right sides as shown here ... ... and here is the storyboard: halloween_polaroid_storyboard.afdesign
  5. All my own work from scratch. Most of them can be re-coloured by changing the stroke colour. There is only one bat brush. Which way up the bats are depends on whether you draw from left to right or right to left. Free for personal and professional use. Have fun! Ginettes Witchy Brushes.afbrushes
  6. New vector work – Dia de Los Muertos I: La Calavera Catrina Today the famous “Day of the Dead” festival begins in Mexico. Definitely NOT to be confused with Halloween, the Day of the Dead is a three-day riotous explosion of colour and joy, where people all across Mexico honour and remember their loved ones and keep their memories alive. This spectacular festival is something I’ve been fascinated with for years, and seeing it first-hand one day is definitely on the bucket list! I’ve created two pieces to celebrate this festival, and my first one “La Calavera Catrina” (The Elegant Skull) is based on the traditional female costume for the Day of the Dead. La Catrina is known as the “Grand Dame” of the afterlife. She wears marigolds in her hair - believed to lure the dead back to the world of the living for the duration of the festival through their powerful scent and vibrant colour - and a collection of skulls representing the souls of the departed. She also wears the Sacred Heart crown, to represent the fact that the festival takes place across All Saints Day and All Souls Day – two minor holidays in the Catholic calendar, the quetzal feathers represent her native Mexican heritage, and the roses are an obvious nod to Frida Kahlo. I’ve also added some detail shots, the outline, and the original concept sketch. Hope you like them! I’ll be posting my second piece, La Danza Azteca, separately, so if you like what you see - keep a look out!
  7. My second piece to celebrate the Mexican “Dia de Los Muertos” (Day of the Dead) festival is called “La Danza Azteca”, and is intended to reflect the Aztec origins of the festival, and the troops of dancers known as “Concheros” who dance in public spaces throughout Mexico to honour the traditions and rituals of their pre-hispanic culture. My Conchero wears a headdress depicting Tlaloc, the Aztec god of rain, water, and fertility, and a necklace bearing the image of Mictlantecuhtli, the God of the Dead and ruler of Mictlan, the Aztec underworld. As usual, I’ve included some detail shots and the original concept sketch, if you’re interested. If you like what you see, please also check out my earlier Day of the Dead post “La Calavera Catrina”.

  10. For some time already I had the idea with the finger, which is not the own finger. In time for Halloween, I finally had time to implement that, of course with my favorite App Affinity Photo. Like Dr. Frankenstein, I have some (free) images assembled to one, partly I have drawn on the layers with vector brushes. For the hand below, I photographed the hand of a friend. I then arranged the whole thing with some layer effects. https://www.bodobe.de/psst-keep-quiet/

  14. Hello all, I did this halloween graphic to practice working with affinity. I am getting the hang of using a masking layer and creating effects with brushes
  15. I thought it would be fun to take on the appearance of a ghost in a rustic old home long ago abandoned by using the cutting out method. And I want to thank MEB, Alfred and toltec for their generous help with learning the method. I realize improvements can and should be made to lighten the figure of the ghost of a man even more but this is more about accomplishing what I needed to learn than being paid to produce a fantastic photo. Happy Halloween and of course I'd truly enjoy any critique offered, or just enjoy my first try.
  16. SO DARK THE NIGHT: pretty dark, halloween. For those who like it (FHD Wallpaper 1920 x 1080 px) http://b-bertuleit.de/halloween-wallpaper/
