  1. Can I copy guides from on master page to another in Affinity Publisher? It appears that I cannot select more than one guide setting (number) in Guide Manager to copy/paste my guides from one master page to another. It would be great if one could select the all to copy/paste or use the CMD key (Mac) to select from the guide numbers.
  2. Hi there, i'm currently trying to set new guides on an existing document with already loads of artboards (UX design). I've always been able to set my guides on the first artboard and go on without having to set it back afterwards. But today i need to set 2 new guides on every artboards and as i am using "Guides Manager" and setting guides on all artboards at once, everything i tried to achieve this has been a failure. I've tried first by selecting one artboard, nope. All artboards selected, no either. No artboard at all, nah. And i've been looking for a button like "set on all artboards" or something like it. But can't find anything. So my question is, is there something i can do to achieve my goal, or do i need to do it all by hand one at a time? If not existing yet, is it to be added in future update? If not can it be added to the roadmap ? Thanks, looking to your answers. Ben
  3. When you press ESC while editing a specific guide, the guide manager closes rather than aborting the edit process and reverting to either the previous value or cancelling the add.
  4. Hello, I am currently working on an ecosystem map for a healthcare institution and I noticed this weird behavior of the grid and guides. For some reason when I try to select the guide, it disappears ? There is no pop up menu even when I even right-click on the guide to delete it. I have to manually delete from view>guide manager. In my previous project I had multiple guide and when I tried to delete it from the guide manager , I was lost. I couldn't tell which guide to delete since there were multiple guides on the page. When I also try to select an object, the grid shows another weird behavior. I used 100px and 8 division but the moment I drag the mouse, the grid square gets bigger. Why is that ? Thank you Guide and Grid Behavior.mp4
  5. I cannot set a margin when I open my artboard, I have to set it prior when I create a document. Plus, I cannot right-click to delete, duplicate, power-duplicate a guide. Please fix this bug
  6. The one thing that stops Affinity Designer from being the perfect tool for UI design for me is the lack of an ability to set up a guide layout. There is almost this functionality in the grid set up options, just without the ability to make grid tiles the full height of the artboard and add a default margin on the left/right/top/bottom independent of the gutter. The ability to save a guide layout preset in the Guide Manager and load it up in future documents has been mentioned previously, and this is potentially another great way to solve the problem, so +1 to that idea too. My issue is just that when setting up a new document I need to be able to quickly set up the bootstrap grid as guides before I start. My current workaround is to set up the guides in a document and use that as a template for any web UI work I need to do. Please consider adding a Guide Layout feature and/or Custom Guide Presets (honestly the Guides Manager is currently brilliant, it just needs extending). I'm so very close to being able to replace PS/AI with AF. Cheers
  7. I would like to suggest a feature to lock individual guides via the Guide Manager. This is a feature in Indesign that we utilize in our group layout process that we would like to see carried forward into Publisher. In a our workgroup of 20 graphic artist, copies writers, and layout team, it important to use to have guides that can not be moved. These guides to hold boundaries that are outside the constraints of our press margins. This ability would be most helpful.
  8. I'm having some trouble and am a little confused due to how rulers and grids work. It seems the background grid and some rulers only appear when i select the artboard itself... I'd like to also have the grid and rulers visible when I select an object within this artboard. I've heard of the fact there are some guide managers which can be applied to the artboard or the document itself, but I'm not sure if this is what will solve my problem. My problem may have been occurred after duplicating an artboard. Any help would be appreciated.
  9. Hello, When setting up Column guides with the guide manager, I set it to outline not fill but when the document closes and is reopened it reverts back to the fill grey state.
  10. Firstly congratulations on both Affinity Designer and Photo. I love what Serif is achieving here which is why I bought them both. I started using Designer for a project (instead of Corel Draw) and enjoyed using it. However I found using the Guides awkward and unfriendly. Clicking on a guide to select it should change its color immediately, a numerical readout should be available on screen (this happens only when it's moved), also with the "Guides Manager" open onscreen, clicking on a Guide does not highlight it in the Manager. With many guides in a project this is most annoying and needs some loving attention. Thank you.
