Unsharp Mask filter is needed since resized image on Affinity is not crisp though Photo has Unsharp Mask to fix it. Unsharp Mask filter option on resize/export would be nice also.

I found some fuzzy icons in the Kontur section. Kind regards.

If I clone stuff with "Force pixel alignment" turned off I get very blurry results. Is this normal? I Just want to know if there's something wrong on my side or if it's supposed to work like that. Thanks in advance!

Hi there I just got Affinity Photo after a bad experience with Adobe. I don't use it for Professional photo editing stuff, just the basics, (which is to say I have no idea how to use 90% of the features in this program) and so far I'm having an issue with resizing images. I know you can't resize something to be bigger without distortion, usually. But shrinking? I had to resize an image earlier and the end result was jagged and fuzzy, the quality suffered. I looked in the help files to see which resampling mode to use and was using bilinear. I even tried to crop to a specific constrained size and the end result was still really bad. Is there a trick to this? When I took the same source images into another app and shrank them, they turned out fine. I can upload the images (before / after) if desired.

I'm making a simple twitter header. All text on a colored background. File size is 1500x500. No matter what I export at it's blurry and looks terrible. I HAVE to be doing something wrong. I have attached the file. headerblog.afdesign

I kindly ask for help in the follwoing matter, I don't get the desired result. For my work I create presentations and job aids and therefore I create screen shots with magnifying glass effect on areas that I wish to highlight, similar to the effect in the preview app. To achieve this I create a circle selection around the highlighting area on the first layer and with CMD+J I create a new layer. This new layer then contains the selected detail. Then I enlarge this detail picture slightly by a transformation. At last I add the Outline effect and an outer shadow. My problem is that the outline is very frayed, fuzzy and unbeautiful. When I do the same in Photoshop, however, it is sharp and clear. In Affinity Photo I tried to get better results with "Smooth" and "Refine Edges", but with no success. I added 2 example pictures to show the difference. Both are based on the same picture, a screen shot made on a Windows PC and stored as *.bmp file. Because I dislike abonnement software, and like very much Affinity Photo, I want to go away from Photoshop as soon as possible and therefore I kindly ask for help to get the same result in Affinity Photo as I get in Photoshop.
