  1. Fotosketcher 3.90 is now available with a new painting style and scripting support. It also has the ability to use multiple painting styles one after the other. https://fotosketcher.com/1
  2. Affinity Photo is a very good application indeed. It would be nice if it allowed the support of extensions to third party software which would complement its functionality. In particular the GMIC extension which is supported on Paint.Net, GIMP, Digikam. This provides a library of ready made features which could assist in creative work. It would be nice if Photo could interface with Fotosketcher too. A very useful tool for creating art out of photographs. These are only suggestions which may be of use to photographers and digital artists alike.
  3. https://fotosketcher.com/ Fotosketcher can now produce SVGs of Painting 4. This can be edited in Affinity Designer and processed as a vector image. Not quite a vector trace function but very useful. Tom Bombadil Picks up women svg.svg
  4. Here is a piece of work I created in Affinity Publisher to honour my sister's commitment and work as a paramedic. I used Fotosketcher and Corel Paint It! to create the artwork in the background, which I then enhanced in Affinity Photo using the tone map facility. I am waiting for the finished canvas to come from Vistaprint. However, here is a representation of the finished artwork with frame. Text editing was done in LibreOffice Writer. I hope she enjoys the gift.
  5. I have written a poem which reflects on the invasion which took place in 1978 all around the world. It is written from a UK perspective on the phenomenon called SPACE INVADERS. The title graphic was created in Affinity Designer, the text edited in LibreOffice, the layout done in Affinity Publisher and the graphic editing done in Affinity Photo. The YouTube link takes you to an audio version of the poem with backing music created in OpenMPT and speech created using Microsoft Sean TTS and mixed in Audacity. The frame effect was done in Fotosketcher. I hope you enjoy this retrospective on this seminal arcade game.
  6. Here are some examples of the art I have created using Affinity Photo alongside Fotosketcher and Corel Paint It! based on free images from Unsplash. I find the Tonal Mapping Persona remarkably useful in achieving some impressive effects.
  7. Here is a poem I created in LibreOffice Writer and laid out in Affinity Publisher. The toasted cheese image used was created by using a combination of Corel Painshop Pro X4, BenVista PhotoZoom Pro, Fotosketcher, Corel Paint It and Affinity Photo. Affinity Photo was used to enhance the detail in the Tone Mapping Persona. Toasted_Cheese.pdf
