  1. Hi, I'm Rawi, I usually draw illustrations for cars. there is something in my designer affinity today I don't know why this happened, before I updated to 2.3 it was safe for the shape builder tool. I used to select all the lines then tidy them up with the shape builder but after I updated to 2.3 I can no longer do that. and not just the shape builder tool, when I use the feature to fill in color it just doesn't work even though it could before. I hope to find a solution here.
  2. Hi everyone, I am trying to flood fill a simple shape for practice, but no matter what I do, the tool does nothing. The shape is the blue shape I drew with lines. I can’t even choose the fill of the shape I drew on the menu like how you can with the default shapes affinity gives you. Is there a way to fill it in? 😭
  3. I have viewed the above thread and the video in it. This doesn;t help. My Issue: I need to fill a certain colour space in a complex image with a colour picked from another part of that [flat] image. I use the colour picker to select the colour I want to use, and that by default paints the whole layer, which I can undo. It's fiddly but.... there we go. My issue is that I can't transfer this chosen colour from my picker to my flood fill tool. I select flood fill and then try to select the picker colour in the top right corner - by clicking on the colour it ALWAYS colours the whole layer rather than my flood fill tool. This occurs on all areas I can find the colour picker. How do I tell my Flood fill to use the colour selected by the picker. When I use a brush tool the brush correctly selects the picked colour. Cheers
  4. I am thinking of leaving Photoshop and downloaded Affinity Photo trial. Problems so far are: my paintbrush tool or any other tool I choose is an Arrow, not a round circle, so I can't see how big my brush is. Also, I tried the flood fill tool and this did not work full stop. The selection tool is not very good at snapping to edges even though I have snapping on, I have to constantly keep doing it. Also, when I increase the brush size, nothing happens for a few seconds like it's not working, then it does. I need a very quick workflow as I list hundreds of items a month on my jewellery websites and I'm not feeling it. Is there a solution, maybe I'm missing something, can anyone help?
