  1. An example of something coming from nothing. I began this picture with an entirely different intent for its outcome, but when inspiration comes along - you just have to run with it.
  2. Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to this forum but am trying to get some ideas about book cover designing. I'm planning to have my novel published very soon (through CreateSpace) and am especially interested in premade covers. There are many out there but most are mediocre at best. I'm wondering if anyone has an idea about this site: www.bookcoverzone.com - Nice covers, decent pricing and all but it's an automatic system, and I've never seen or tried anything like this before. If anyone has bought from this site, any feedback would be much appreciated.
  3. Here is the final image that I was having the crashing issue with a couple days ago. 100% iPad Pro with Affinity Photo. Hope ya like.
  4. Just my imagination running riot. . .again!
  5. With a brave heart she cast the spell then held the lantern aloft. I began meddling with this image just before I bought Affinity Photo, and with the new purchase in hand I decided to finish it in AP. You will see similar images cast all over the net and this is my shot at that fantasy genre. Not sure how it stacks up against the lofty giants out there doing great stuff, but at least I enjoyed my time when I was doing it.
  6. Bashed out on Saturday. Hope someone likes this weak ass stuff it was fun to do. Note on brushes: when I originally bought AF I loaded a bunch of PS brushes into it.I admit I've never used any of them. Chimping with the defaults and the Daub brushes seems to get you anything from smoke to details. y
  7. This is a retouch I did just for kicks. Sara is a friend and professional stylist I've worked with many times. Developed and edited in ProPhoto RGB space from RAW camera source.
  8. Weekend fun character painting. Hope someone likes it. Really quite amazed at the versatility of the old classic smudge as a real painting tool.
  9. Finished this to a satisfactory level. Painted on a budget HP laptop that cost me £350. A3 processor and 8GB RAM. Hat's off to the developers. Link to WIP:
  10. Going quite well. What do you think? Personally I get on with the brush engine. Would like a colour picker, ( floating colour wheel) but never mind. Got about half way with this scene up to now.
  11. This is a piece I finished a few months ago, it was the first time I used Affinity Photo to do all of my post work instead of Photoshop. Composed of 3d character render, photo pieces, and lots of post work.
  12. Hi all! i hope u enjoy this!!!!
  13. "Ray-Gun-Omics Poster" Affinity Photo Digital Illustration Instagram - @chaos3rdeye Website- www.chaosabzu.com Stay tuned for more!
  14. Mad photo bash that turned into an 80's rock album cover or something. Becoming happy painting in Affinity Photo.
  15. Bit of painting practice here on the laptop while cooking.
  16. About an hour and a half. Daub brushes, shows how good Affinity is.
  17. OK taking my first rough try in AP and polishing it up to a finished painting, mostly with Daub brushes. Not tackled the ship yet which will probably get extensive changes. AP more than up to the task though.
  18. The past few months have been insane I haven't much time for personal work, but I am starting to see some light.... So many fun new features to test!
