Hello, everyone. I updated Affinity Photo to its 1.9 version yesterday. I need to work on some mockups, but when I open the PSD I'm going to use, I see these weird shapes – but only on the layer with the embedded document. I'm not sure if this is a software issue, or if it's a problem with my graphics card (this had never happened before), but I thought maybe I could get some guidance/assistance here. Attached you'll find an screenshot of the issue. Thanks for your help.

A quick search and I couldn't find anything. There should be a way to easily export a selected embedded document. This is especially important when you have to share open files with colleagues who need to use assets in other software or suites. Many web developers I work with require the original images I use in my layouts - so the can set up their websites to automatically crop and treat images in the same manner.

Hello! I have imported a couple PSD files into Designer and found them to show up with the “Embedded Document” tag, but I haven’t discovered a way to access the embedded parts of said document. If someone could help me out with that I would be truly grateful!

Assets are a nice way to organize your massive library of components which are usually saved in folders and hard to find when you need them. The problem what I have with assets is the import possibility. For example if I would like to import an icon library of let say 100 icons which I downloaded as SVG or EPS files then it is not possible to drag them all onto the artboard and import them into the assets panel. The only option I found was to double click each and every icon (in some cases group the layers and give them the icon name) and then import one by one. As all of you can imagine, that method takes me ages to import a bigger library of graphic assets. Is there some workaround or did I understand something wrong? Thanks for any feedback! PS: Photoshop files work fine. Just open the document, select all elements you wish to import and done.

Hi, Right now in Affinity Photo when you place an embedded document and use the perspective tool it gets rasterized. You can no longer double-click the layer to change the file. Same thing in Affinity Designer, there is not much you can do other than simple skew. /Fjord
