Has anyone else had issues with their marquee tool not working? My rectangle marquee snaps into place with rounded edges and the elliptical marquee doesn't work at all. I am using a Mac (Big Sur), as well as a wireless Wacom tablet and version 1.8.6 of Affinity Photo. This is my first time posting on a forum and I'm a novice when it comes to photo editing so I've attached a video to demonstrate the issues I am having. I know Affinity Photo is a raster program and can only select whole pixels but never had this problem with PS. I shift drag out an elliptical marquee tool circle and end up with something pretty rough looking with some odd flat edges, this is even more apparent when I outline the selection. I'm working on both 300dpi & 72dpi documents and it makes no difference, I have antialias checked, not sure what else to try. I've got to produce pixel-perfect artwork for cinema posters so can't have jaggedy bits. Any help appreciated -
Hi, as far as I know, at this time when I draw two marquee tools over the eyes of a subject in order to change their color, and then I want to reposition slightly just one of the marquee selections, they both move at the same time. Someone in the forum was kind enough to point out a way of moving one selection independently, but frankly it is a rather complicated way of doing something that should be very simple to do. In brief, my suggestion is to create a way to quickly uncouple 2 or more selections in order to be able to move them independently. Thanks!
