A big wish on my part was if you have an image browser like Adobe bridge, this is something many photographers want, as you often have to batch edit many raw files, From a wedding, business shoots, advertising work, etc.

I'll start by mentioning that I upgraded to Mac OS 10.15.2 yesterday from the previous OS (Mojave). I noticed today that when exporting a photo from Apple Photos, specifically one that I edited in Affinity last year before upgrading to Catalina, it does not reflect the edits I made. The original file was shot in RAW, I used "Edit in Affinity", saved and closed and it created the jpeg in Apple Photos. Before the upgrade, I've successfully exported to both jpeg and png, both with the changes I made in Affinity. What's odd is that the preview in Apple Photos shows my edit, but the export looks like a jpeg made from the RAW, with no edits. I'll say, I haven't made a ton of edits in affinity, but I spot checked others and all but two exported fine today. So what I'm saying is that not everything I've edited in Affinity is having this Photos export issue. Any information would be helpful, as I don't know if there is a missing link after the update or what. I'm not sure if the issue lies with Apple or with Affinity, but I wanted to start here. After the update, I noticed the hierarchy in "Show Package Contents" for my Photos library is not something anyone can easily navigate, so I can't even locate the original or the preview file. -
Hi guys Can please someone tell me how can I edit "smart object mockup" in AF? Like in this video for PS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxTge8fHbW8 All mockup's that I have are made for Photoshop so they are using smart objects to place our designs so after I open mockup and try to edit them by opening that layer in new tab like I did in Photoshop nothing happens! I simply can not find way to edit that layer in separate tab which is crucial for my work! This really makes things a very hard for me because I use mockup's all a time and I can't just use "place image" option and add more layers that I will adjust on spot, because it make things a lot harder then to just edit "smart object" like I did in PS. If you could show me how can I do this in AF, that would be a life saver! Thanks- 34 replies

I want to edit the color of multiple objects at the same time, independently of their color, Gradients, stroke, transparency, etc Something like this: In illustrator there was two diferent ways to accomplish that, including other modifications available (As saturation and brightness for example), with its own settings panel Do Affinity Designer have a tool/feature that allow to modify the color of one or many objects to other colors?

Hi, here is a bug. Story: I make a master page, add artistic text as Heading 1, align to center and top of page. Then I make some new pages based off that master page. I'll go to the first one, detach it so I can edit, change the original h1 text content, go to alignment - align left, then click finish.... The master then changes to the left side too..... When I go to the next page, I'll align center, and all pages based off this master page now go center (including the one I just aligned left).... I go to the next page based off this master, align right, same thing: Everything is now on the right, including the master. Computer spec / hardware: Windows 10 Pro laptop, no external hardware. Affinity Publisher Version: 1.7.1.404 Reproduceable / Happens in new document?? Yes and yes. See attached file. If this is not good enough, I'll make a short video of it. Is it possible to save changes to afphoto/afdesin file directly in Publisher? Changes are saved to only afpub, linked documents won't be changed. -

Dear Affinity Team, I found a weird bug in the example project "Lifestyle Magazine". I use Win 10 + German Version + 1.7.1.404 As I was discovering the new features I stumbled upon a bug in the Mask edit functionality. It seems the Mask is very much out of place. I attached some screenshots to illustrate. 01) Downloaded the example project > Had a look at the guy on page 5 > pressed right click on the thumbnail of the mask layer > "Edit Mask" 02) When I clicked the "Edit Mask" > the pages went blank & only the contour/frame of the mask was visible > thought that was a bit strange, where is the mask shown in the layer thumbnail? 03) As I zoomed out I saw that the mask was out of place and was positioned on page 1. 04) However when I move the mask - for example - to the left, the guy gets cropped accordingly to the new position of the mask: 05) Here a larger screenshot of the new positioned mask in the layout: _ I hope you can reproduce the bug and make Publisher more awesome than it already is :D Cheers, chillahc

Hello everyone! I've been trying to edit some PSDs sent by the company designer and I just can't edit anything. Every layer is as "Pixel" - my first thought was that I hadn't the fonts packages, but after installing nothing changed If anyone can help me with this - I couldn't find any answers yet and I don't know if is something related to settings or anything more complex - the same image opens normally in other laptops.

Is there a way to copy and paste edits to do a batch of RAW files? I want to apply the same edits across a few RAW files taken. I know there is a MACRO function and arent sure if this is what Im looking for. -

I'm not sure whether there are common 'regulations' regarding how much baseline shift and font sizing to apply to a superscript/subscript character, but I always find the defaults are not quite the amount I'm looking for! Is there any chance you can add some options to the superscript and subscript buttons in the Character panel? I often find myself adding custom styles to parts of a text block just to get a slightly different super/subscript effect, rather than using the buttons, but then when I want to change the whole paragraph size a little I obviously end up losing the super/subscript.-

Well ! i'm back with this other which i believe will help us all. Personally i like the way Serif made it cross-edit between all 3 piece of software but ... because there is always a but ! i Think the way it was and is managed is a bit counter productive or maybe not at its fullness. let me explain ! Here when you have a file opened on APub and want to do some work on it with ADesigner you can Edit with Designer then the whole project is transferred there leaving APub empty of everything but sometime we only want to edit a precise thing such as a smart shape etc... thus making the transfer of the whole project to ADesigner a kind of ... What if Serif could make it possible for us Click on the Object we want to edit and : 1- Right click on it then chose Edit with : Photo or Designer (depending of what we may want to achieve) 2- After selecting the desired object, we can also click the related persona (place where we want to edit) then have that precise thing migrated there for its edit 3- Should be the option we currently have, if we select nothing but click on one of the persona or chose to Edit with ... then whole project get migrated there for its further edit leaving APub Blank. The first 2 options should leave the core project opened in APub then only we should be able to edit the select object then click save to get its edit saved as an update withing the already opened and not closed project withing APub. The we can chose to edit only a part of the project without leaving the main tool we use and see the updates in real-time. Well, more geared peoples can add to this idea and help make this get better. Blessing !- 3 replies

I was wondering if Affinity Photo offers a capability to edit one photo ,and use it as a preset to instantly edit multiple photos with that preset for time-lapse purposes.In lightroom you can do it ,but can you do it in Affinity Photo? -
Hello, Iam new to using Affinity and have been using Photoshop as part of my job for many years. My boss has recently purchased this software, but with the nature of work we do, I am missing the Bridge feature which allows me to view and make basic edits to images, rather than having to open all images all at once, or individually. Also i would think a batch renaming feature would be useful. Please can you let me know if any of these features are appearing in a future update. thanks Gemma -
Hello, This is very basic as I have just started using Affinity Designer. When I import an EPS file downloaded fro Depositphotos.com, I can't select the objects seperatly. They are all grouped, can't ungroup or select indivudual elements. What am I missing here? Thansk -
I know that files are interchangable, and can be opened in other app from menu, but sometimes it's overkill IMO. When goal is to make some quick edits in one photo while document contains dozens of them, more convienient way would be just edit this particular image. Something like: select bitmap -> edit in Photo -> do what you want -> save directly back to Designer. Same thing could be useful in reversed situation: select vector object -> edit in Designer -> do what you want -> save directly back to Photo Cheers -
Hi I am a very happy user of Affinity Designer and Photo and very much looking forward to Affinity Publisher. Would it not be a good idea (for what it's worth) to complement that excellent Affinity Suite with something like a PDF Creator with Affinity typical Workspace, tools and bags of userfriendly features ? I would definitely be the first in line to buy.

Hi guys, For example I have a green circle, that will act as a clipping container. I add 3 other object inside this green circle, with clipping. How can I change the green circle's color without unclipping the other objects? I tried, but I can't seem to be able to. Thank you -
Hi there, I'm working on a PDF with a VERY complicated logo that seems to have been created with about 400 little bits - is there a way of grabbing the whole logo and deleting it, rather than from the layers panel doing one piece at a time? I might be being dense - but any help with this appreciated! I've attached a screen grab to show you what I mean . . . THANKS.

Hi, When one opens the brush edit dialog for an existing brush and touch some sliders for experimentation, the changes are auto-saved and there isn't a Cancel or even an Undo for them. How do you recover you original settings for the brush? Please add Cancel button to the Brush Edit dialog to throw away changes, and also make it possible to Undo it after committing the changes.

Hey, I would love to see the feature that makes it possible to create cinemagraphs in Affinity Photo. For this it is required to be able to edit short video clips in Affinity Photo just like you can do it in Photoshop. I just found it out today because I see more and more cinemagraphs on Instagram and wondered how to create them. Then I found this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dD_yeVMUzo I don't want that Photoshop feature to be copied because there are options in Photoshop that are more complex that it is required. That's why I really like Affinity. There are so many features and a clean working space. I hope I am not the only one who is interested in this feature to be implemented. Best regards, Andy

Hi, I was just surfing youtube yesterday and I came across a video by Sean Tucker: At 7:50, Sean uses hue saturation and lumance sliders to edit inividual colours in his image. I was wondering if you can do this in affinity photo. I am interested in buying it soon so any answer will help me in making my decision. Thanks, Jayvin.
