  1. Hi there, I am sorry for asking that stupid question - I am feeling very ashamed about this. How do I copy and paste objects like a simple circle between documents? When I press copy (e.g. CMD C) and then CMD V in a new document the circle gets not inserted. I only get a new empty layer called "(Frame Text)" and it's empty blue stroked modify box. Please see picture. What am I missing? Where is my mistake? Please help! Thanks!
  2. As for print production margins are essential, it would be great to get some improvements on these. If all margins do have the same size, it would be helpful just to enter one of them and carry it over to the other margins. This should be activatable by a tick as not every time all margins have the same size. When I activate margins, the size of the margins should be added to document size automatically depending on the entered value. This brings the advantage that the original page size is always visible, there are less calculation errors and it would become possible to export the document with and without margins. If margins are set, they should be visible on the page all the time. But there should be a view option to hide them if necessary. I think a good example how to handle margins could be Adobe Illustrator. Thanks for review.
  3. I tried to change profile on a cmyk document from FOGRA 27 to FOGRA 39. Once I clicked OK the document resets to RGB and sRGB profile. So i had to change color mode and profile to cmyk again. Steps to reproduce the issue 1 - On a CMYK document, change profile on document settings (27 to 39 or viceversa) and click ok. Results in rgb document 2 - Enter document settings again and change to CMYK and desired profile
  4. Hi Guys, Not sure how everyones workflows are but I usually never work in the given document/canvas. Is this possible to turn on/off? when opening previous works they are invisible because lots of the attributes are off canvas. (hope this makes sense) cheers,
  5. I'm using Affinity to create a magazine for my dissertation and I wondered how I would be able to create a double page spread instead of having to design on two separate pages. I find the programme much easier to use than InDesign and since I've been using it from July, I now don't use any other programme to create content. Additionally I want to know if there is a way to import the pages into InDesign as I will have to put them into one document just so that it can be printed next May.
  6. I'm trying to create a rectangle covering half the page snapping perfectly to the edge of the document with the pen tool. Struggling to get perfect accuracy. How do I get a node perfectly in the corner and then on the edges? Where am I going wrong?
  7. When creating a new document, will there be more page presets for film i.e. NTSC DV or PAL DV Widescreen? For film (often with a transparent background) it would be usful to be able to change the colour of the transparency grid with darker options available Rather than just a grid, is it possible to have the safe area guide?
