Photoshop/Adobe set a standard for all apps, apparently, by putting the vertical toolbar on the lefthand side of the app. This is wonderful--for left-handed users. Being right-handed, I moved and docked the toolbar to the "panels" window on the right side of the app many years ago meaning I no longer had to move the mouse cursor back and forth cross screen which is, IMHO, wasted motion. I do the same in Affinity Photo but the tools do not dock (become "sticky") to the panels window. This suffices BUT my request is that in a future release of Affinity products you make the toolbar, and similar windows, dockable to the panels window or any other windows within the app. Perhaps southpaws would also like to dock the panels to the toolbar on the left side of the app. I think this *might've* been suggested a year-and-a-half ago but since it still hasn't been addressed, I thought a refresh might be in order. I'm using the Windows-Version from Affinity Photo, so far I figured out everything I need. But only one problem: I can't dock the tools-box on the right side. I've tried different ways to do so, but no matter what I do it's always docking on the left side. Is it impossible to dock it on the right side or are there options available I haven't found so far? Thanks for your help.

I can't figure out how to remove the docked state of the Studio space on the right, covers my work, I'm on a laptop. Can you remove the docked state? and move it where you want?

Right now panels can snap into place horizontally but if I have a large screen it would be nice if I could put several panels side by side and then they would move when I resize the window.

This is something I haven't tried before, so I don't know if it was present in previous beta versions. When I add a Studio Panel, it is placed in a default location. According to the documentation, I should be able to move the pane somewhere else. As long as I move a panel to an existing panel group, that's fine. What I tried was to pull a panel group from a column--the one on the right. It was now a floating panel group. When I tried to place it back in the same column, there was no way it would dock. It would either dock to create a new column to the left, or a really big column on the far right over everything else. I tried every which way I could think to dock the panel group back into the same column--but nothing worked. Finally, the only way I managed this was to reset the studio, which moved all panels to their default locations--including the three panel groups on the right. I should be able to slip new panels into any column. If manually placing a panel or panel group into a column that already contains a panel or panel group is not possible, it should be well indicated in the documentation, but relocating panels should be simple and obvious.

Consideration for having a larger delay before a window tries to absorb another on tabbing/docking of floating windows. Anyone that realizes the efficiency of Expose on a Mac will rarely have that many docked windows. By having windows constantly trying to merge right away while trying to get as much workspace for windows becomes disruptive. Or a check mark in preferences to turn the docking/merging off altogether.
