  1. I can't seem to be able to split text in Affinity Designer? From what I can gather it's only shapes that can be divided? Is there a way this can be achieved? I've attached an example that I had to call my boyfriend and ask him to do this on Adobe Illustrator for me as I couldn't achieve this design like I was hoping to on Affinity. Is there any sign that this could be a feature in the near future?
  2. I hope that I can describe the problem correctly. I am working on a logo, which should consist of the letters O and K. The K should be in front of the O, as well as behind the O. After I drew an ellipse, which should represent the O, and converted it to a donut, I wrote the K over it with the Artistic Text Tool. Next, I selected the two layers (the layer with the ellipse is on top) and used the geometry function divide. Then I deleted protruding parts from the K and colored other parts that should be displayed above the ellipse. Unfortunately very fine lines are always displayed. I don't know how I can prevent this. Can anyone help me? For clarification I have exported a PNG and I also provide my afdesign file. ok.afdesign
  3. Hi, I saw a video on Youtube about a work around to "scissor off" a part of a picture in AD (similar to using the knife tool in DrawPlus), but the video was too fast for me to follow hos to do it. It appeared that you could draw a curve a cross a shape and the use deivide operations to cut it into two independent shapes. But when I attempt to do that, the program invariably closes the corve I draw which deforms the cutting in an undesirable way. Can somenone explain to me how to do it?Thanking you in advance, Örjan
