Hey everyone! For some reason, every brush I'm using is set to »wet edges« when I select the eraser tool, and I can't find the option to disable it globally for this tool. I don't plan on setting each individual brush to »wet edges off,« as that's super impractical and bothersome. There's a dedicated button in the toolbar for the brush painting tool: But it's missing for the eraser tool, and according to its behaviour it must have turned on somehow at some point: Does anyone have any idea? Am I missing something? Greetings Dennis

Greetings, I have come simply to ask these two questions regarding the Windows 10 system. 1. Is it by any chance possible to disable floating windows? Trying to move them in the order that suits one better is starting to get quite difficult when the windows pop out non-stop. And if it isn't a possibility, please add it to the system. 2. I have heard of mac/ipad capabilities to import/export document setup, I use Designer most of the time where I create a bunch of new presets but once I come over to Photo I realise that they aren't saved over there as well. Any way to transfer them over on Windows? -
Dear Affinity Team! Thank you for this very fine and delicate software. -let's make it even better! ❤️ Please if possible ad a function where you can disable/enable Auto Select. It would mean a great deal to many! As it is now, you loose your selection when you try to edit a layer, but mishit or have an overlapping layer interfering. Also it takes so much extra time to grab an object, change text or even do the slightest changes. -please let me know if this needs elaboration.. Best Regards!

Is there a way to use the Pencil Tool in Designer without it automatically 'selecting' the stroke straight after you've drawn it? Perhaps an option or preference that I can disable that leaves all the strokes unselected until I choose to use the Node or Move Tool myself in case I want to edit it? It's quite difficult to see what you're drawing in a complicated illustration when the line you've just drawn is automatically selected and shows all the nodes. -

I use a Microsoft Surface tablet, therefore I use a pen for my drawings. I keep accidentally tapping the screen with my fingers and drawing dots all over my canvas while I'm not using my pen, and I was wondering if there was any way to disable this? -
Please add an option for disabling the magnifying glass while using the pen tool and node tool. The magnifying glass is a nice feature when using a finger, but with the Apple Pencil it blocks the view and makes the process of editing curves harder. Thank you.

Hi everyone, I’m fairly new to the iPad version of Affinity Photo. Is it possible to disable Anti-Aliasing for creating shapes? Being completely honest Affinity Photo for iPad seems like a great candidate for Pixel Art but that is getting in the way. -
1st request: If you want to temporarily disable a mask you have to Shift click on the mask thumbnail. So far so good... until you start shift click it a bit too fast and then the view zooms out. Try this: 1. Zoom the document to a value different than 100% 2. Add a mask to a pixel layer 3. Start shift clicking the mask thumbnail at a speed of 1 click per second Everything is fine so far 4. Start steadily increasing the speed of your shift clicking The view will zoom out to fit the screen. Can you please make it so it doesn't do this zooming when enabling/disabling masks? This ties in to the 2nd request: Can you please make it so that you can enable and disable masks no matter what speed you shift click them with? At the moment the mask won't enable/disable if you shift click them faster than 1 click per second. In Photoshop you can enable/disable masks as fast as you can press the mouse button. Can you make the enable/disable mask function irrelevant to the clicking speed? Thanks for considering these! :) -
AP I'm having a very hard time disabling the pink boundary lines around the layers (even the ones that are not selected). It has made it impossible for me to work. I never saw them before, can someone help getting rid of them? Please check attachment for screenshot.

I cannot imagine that this hasn't been discussed before, but a simple search of this forum didn't reveal a similar topic, hence my feature request post today. When I display the Adjustment tab and then click once on anything (Recolor, B&W, Posterise, etc.), that adjustment appears automatically in the Layers tab. But most of the time, I just want to click once and take a look at what the default 3 choices are. Maybe I don't even want to see that adjustment at all. So the way things are now, I have all these adjustment layers stacking up even though I didn't want to apply any of them. Some people may like the existing functionality, so perhaps adding a Preference would be best. Allow me to DISABLE the automatic application of the adjustments when I merely click on their name in the Adjustments tab 1 time. Create the adjustment layer only when I then click on one of the 3 options (e.g., Default or Cold or Warm, for "Black & White") or when I move one of the sliders in that particular adjustment's dialog. All said, I really don't like it when I just click once on an adjustment and then it becomes a new layer. Thanks.
