Hey everyone, I'll attach a screenshot of my problem at the endn of the thread, but what I'm trying to do is merge these 3 curve layers into one flat object that I can put a gradient on (I wasn't able to do this with a rasterised pixel layer?) Is there any way I can do this? My issue with applying a gradient to the current set is that the gradient doesn't apply to the outline (which one of the layers uses as seen in the second screenshot) Are there any ways to do this or any workarounds? Thanks, Dylan EDIT: I know I could join curves but that would mess up some of the nodes and their placement wouldn't it?

So I'm trying to use a few triangles on a larger triangle, using compounds to try and flatten the vertices of a triangle, this works well on 2 vertices but leaves an artefact on the 3rd, the screenshots should show it and nothing I've tried so far has gotten rid of it; editing curves, making another triangle, etc. I should also mention that this artefact remains after I export it into PNG format for example

Hi, To promote our honeycomb panel : Beelite. I develop a candy dispenser with two different thickness 10 and 16mm. I used affinity Photo iPad for the basic sketch and develop the mechanism (basic). And the rest was made with Affinity designer Die and print. 3DD10 3DD16 I have to use ArtiosCad (no for the design) to make it produceable on a plotter and make a 3D Previz. All pieces have to stitch each other (especially for the V-Notch 45°). Final product :150x150x150mm.

As part of my project I want to make those brown dribbles in the screenshot look more like oil running down the screen, currently it just looks like drops, how can I make it look like more of a singular mass? As shown in the other photo I've attached, I know what I want to do but not how to do it, thanks!

Hi everyone, I'm working on a logo and I'm trying to get rid of 2 filled sections of some triangles, the outlines are already done but the fill is still there, the area that I want to clear is the red crossed out part, does anyone know how to do this? The way I was thinking to do is just clear the fill and use shapes to fill it in instead, merge those and then select the colour, but I feel like that'll take longer than other solutions I've attached a screenshot Thanks

Hi guys, so I'm still relatively new to Designer and I've been having a bit of trouble lately, I'm creating a logo and I need to snap some shapes around, I'm trying to get this triangle to snap to the long part of the other one but it won't capture it as a snapping point, could anyone help out? I'll attach a screenshot Thanks

Today I did the design of the next site. And I remembered about the wonderful program that I bought and did not regret, it's Affinity Designer! Very powerful tools for UI, Web and advertising layouts. This is not advertising, it's just a statement of facts. Having worked almost half a lifetime in design, I came to the conclusion that nothing lasts forever in terms of tools for the designer;). Times change and need too. Now many tools have been developed that help to realize their ideas, and Affinity Designer does not take the last place. It's good that developers pay a lot of time and effort to ensure that the user is as convenient and effective as possible! Having worked in Affinity Designer, I can not go back to similar products of competitors, the habit is such a thing =)) sorry for my english =))

Hello Affinity Community ! My name is Calvin and i'm a hobbyist graphic artist and photographer from Texas. I've been using Affinity Photo and Designer a couple years now and it changed a lot for me to be able to do things easily, and get my ideas on the software SO MUCH easier than other programs. Here's some pictures from a series of images I've been working on to express myself through digital media. Hope you like it !

I just bought a AF Designer MS Store version for my Surface Book. I have tested the brush with pressure, it doesn't work. Do I need to configure anything or it should just work? Thank you in advance. Johnny

This week, I learned that Softpress, who made the web design application Freeway, closed its doors for good. Not a great start for the week for anyone involved in that project with present and past. I’ve been using and had input into the Freeway project for the best part of twenty years. For those who don’t know, Freeway is a DTP-like web design tool. You draw items on a blank page, and Freeway builds the HTML/CSS necessary to display your design in a browser. Extra functionality can be added using Actions - plugins which run at publish time to amend output. Actions can do a multitude of things, from massaging the HTML, to repurposing it for PHP (or indeed other server side scripting languages), and run using a JavaScript engine. The recent video posted of the Affinity DTP project, which showed responsive behaviour for print really chimed in my mind. If, I thought, they are doing this, then they’ve clearly solved UI problems that Softpress were’t able to with their responsive offering. The idea that this application could be tuned not just to printed documents, but also HTML/CSS/ etc. got me thinking that here’s a potential for a Freeway replacement. And, rather nicely, it would be borne from a DTP application - just like Freeway was all those years ago. So, my request - and I know it’s big ask, but I really hope that the minds at Serif can be turned to this - is a DTP-style web design tool in the Affinity brand. The Affinity software I have already feel more than familiar to me, and being able to build websites in an environment that feels familiar like that would be fantastic. DTP for print is just part of the tool kit for a modern designer - web sites really should be there too.

This was a test for a game company one is totally with affinity but the drawings are just sign places from the web. and here you can find also another animated version half with affinity and half with illustrator, more futuristic, minimal. the text is bold and near to the border of the buttons because they have some elements of the sci-fi films of 60s with also the minimal style of the moodboard provided. Hope you like it, and if anyone is interested, I'm actually available for game companies <3

Hi. Recently I wanted to make an Affinity Designer importer for Unity3D, but I didn't find any documentation about what are the Affinity files and there is no documentation about it. It would be awesome to have some information about them, then we will be able to add some more plugins and importers and extend affinity designer. For example, we need documentation for .afphoto and .afdesign files. Thanks.

Hi, I am having trouble placing a screenshot of my latest website design work into the screen area of a monitor. As you can see from the attachments I have an image showing a laptop screen, which currently has a text editor and code on its screen. I'd like to replace this with the other image, which is some of my web design work. However I can't find any way of doing this without the image looking terrible. Does anyone know how to place that "Screen Shot ..." image inside of the laptop? Please help

Hello, good morning. I have bought Affinity for Windows because I have Windows on my computer at home. But i will buy a Mac soon, is there an option to download Affinity for Mac also, if I already have a product code? If not it's really a shame that I have to pay for a Windows version, and pay also for a Mac version. Regards.
