Using the trial version. Definitely going to make the purchase. This is great for vectors / icons and hopefully will become an even better tool for UI / UX Design. Love where this is headed.

I have been using Affinity Designer for all my design-related tasks since may 2015. So here is just a current piece i'm working on - its a newsletter for government. But i also love to use AD for illustration and digital drawing and painting. Just because it is totally cool :)

Hello everybody. I share you my last project. i work in one printing house, and all of my notepads are full ! and you know, how cost one moleskine ! So I got the cheaper idea : create and print for myself at lowest prize ! I choose 10x15mm. Pantone 012, 032, 072U. For the paper i take 320 Rives textured for the cover and inside 150 Offset paper ! i also have the idea to create hole for my business cards ( i lose them every time !) on the last pages ! I use Affinity Designer to create it ! i use the last beta for the Pantone support. I wanted to have best CMYK reproduction, because my Digital press can make a conversion (better dan if AD make the conversion). Thanks for watching ! and thank for sharing your opinion ! Clém

In this lesson we look at how you can use your iPhone to design vector based artwork and send it over to Affinity Designer on your Mac. Also allows you to add additional shapes within Affinity to use... https://youtu.be/B9E_uahfeLo

Hey guys, I made this wallpaper today, as you can see it is AHS themed. I like the outcome even if it is nothing too special, what do you think? I worked with pretty much only live filters, with a great performance! You can see some of my layer mess on the screenshot lol. I hope you like it, feel free to download it and use it, the size is for iPhone 6 ^^ I don't know if external links are allowed, if yes I would provide a link to the google drive download :)

Hey guys, Hope your day is going well. I am at a lost at the moment. I need to make my current pricing menu for my photography on 3 separate pages. Currently I have them all on one and it confuses the customers being this way. I want to make each page look nice but not knowing really where to start. I was thinking of doing a gradient for the back ground for starters. I attempted in applying a gradient and then nothing happen. The base layer was still white. What did I do wrong? I did leave CS6 for you guys seeing how you don't hog all my ram and have faster features then adobe. Then I was thinking of adding a nice border for each page and some small designs on it to make it look flashy. Then save all pages as a PDF to send to clients. Any help you could give would be great thank you! Also I rated you guys a 5 star so :D Hope to hear from you soon! P.S. Also Photoshop used actions and it was a huge help to my workflow. Does Affinity use actions? If not, when?

Hello guys, Do you have any plans to do like Adobe and go the UI design + Prototyping way? http://blogs.adobe.com/creativecloud/introducing-project-comet-a-new-tool-for-designing-and-prototyping-user-experiences/ Although Adobe is clearly looking in Sketch's way by doing this, bringing prototyping directly inside UI design is a very nice approach. This looks like something that Affinity Designer could eventually do. Or maybe Affinity Publisher... or both. What are your impressions?

Hi! My name is Enrique Figueroa, I'm a professional graphic designer. I've started to use Affinity Designer recently and I love it!. I have some expertise in character design, mascot design and such... I began to write a book about cartoon character design in Adobe Illustrator a few months ago... but it happens that I don't use Illustrator that much anymore (I hate, hate the subscription thing). So I thought that it would be a good idea to re-write the whole book for Affinity Designer only. The book is oriented towards people that would like to give life to their ideas, without the pain of going all the way trough DaVinci's academy... the learning method is very simple, for beginners and advanced users alike. The goal is to help you in the making of all kind of characters within a month or two, so you can even make money out of them (T-Shirt design, vector stock selling, freelance works, etc). Its heavy focused on styling and commercial appealing. I still don't know in which formats will be released. For now I would really, really appreciate your feedback on this project. It appeals to you?, Would you buy it?, how much would you pay for it?, is this what you need?... any opinion is welcome, my mind is open. You can ask whatever you want too. I have attached a couple of my drawings just to give you an example of the simplicity and look of the characters for this first module (these ones won't be in the book, but they can give you a small idea). I love more and more AD and I think It has great potential as a learning tool. Thanks in advance, Enrique Figueroa

Hi! I made a simple template for my everyday web-design needs, which i'm glad to share. It contains five pseudo-artboards which are Desktop, Tablet Landscape 1024, Tablet Portrait 768, Mobile Landscape 480, Mobile Portrait 320. They all have semi-transparent grid over them so you can start quick. I think templates like this are good to emulate artboards untill we have real artboards in AD and are just nice way to start your design projects. Will be glad to know what you think of this template, any suggestions are welcome. Feel free to modify it in any way possible. AD-Web-Template1.afdesign

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but. How about a page for your artists to post samples of their work they have done with your software. I don't see any links on your site leading to a page for that.

Ok, yes I am sure this is a massive stretch and a very unrealistic request but hey, if we don't ask, then who knows if it will ever happen right. So, sometimes, when I am putting together a project, I am looking at composition and design. I use software like Google Sketchup to get models to drop into Sketchup and arrange here and there to get my ideas. Then I have to snap an image of the layout and redrop it into illustrator, outline (trace) it and go from there. I can't tell you how often I was thinking it would be cool to just be able to open one program and in one window, create the 3D layout, then copy and paste it into another page where as the 3D layout turns into a nice 2D flat vector image to work with. Again, yes I know this is unrealistic and asking for a lot, but hey, does it hurt to ask. So, 3D Design capabilities like Google Sketchup with full compatibility with your wonderful vector software. That is my request. :D

So, I just wanted to share a real world application case where I used Affinity designer for professional client work. I am not going to win any design awards on this stuff. What is most important to my client is that their message stands out. The challenge I face with the tech industry is making anything look remotely interesting. Maybe one day I get a chance to do something for apple.... ha, yeah right :P All design and concept was created and developed by me. These campaigns will be running for the next 4 weeks in NY city I have two other digital billboard locations displaying my work on a major highway (Rt 80) of NJ and also in the entrance of the Lincoln Tunnel as well. I have received any pictures from my client yet on those, but I will get out there at some point and shoot my own.

After the recent popularity of my flat icon tutorial, I decided to start a tutorial series focusing on the principles of flat design. In this first tutorial, I focus on basic shapes and flat colors. As an example, I walk through how to make a flat iMac icon like I posted before. To view the tutorial, click here. Hope you like it!
