  1. Hi, just did a test with Designer 2.0.4 and noticed it couldn't import my DXF properly. So I did this simple test with Autocad and you can see that the dotted and dashed linestyles are not correctly imported. This is without applying any scaling to the geometry. I do notice there is an attempt to get the dashing, but it's wrong. 2023-02-23 08-41-05.mp4 Here's the test file: test.dxf The reason I did this test was because Designer completely froze when importing a fairly light file that I exported from Rhino (as opposed to the Autocad file above). Both placing the file and opening the file in/ with Designer led to large performance issues, that I wouldn't see otherwise. 2023-02-23 08-28-47.mp4 It is using a dotted line style and when I import that as a PDF, I get circles, instead of continuous dotted lines. But, if dxf cannot do the trick, I have no idea how to best import this file. Test-export_2.dxf
  2. Currently, pressure profiles and dashes are mutually exclusive. I would like to have both a pressure profile and a dash applied, no more workarounds please.
  3. So, is there an option to align dashed strokes with corners? I have a box that I want to have transparent with dashed lines, but the dashes do not align with corners and i cannot find an option to turn this on.
  4. Windows 10 Home 1903, Designer 1.7.1.404. Some people might think this as being too picky but others might think it is a major problem for them so I’ll report this as a bug and see what happens. The attached GIF shows the problem much better than I could explain it. Watch how the dashes on the curve change shape. Sometimes they’re fine but at other times they look really bad. Modifying the curve or zooming in/out alter how the curve is drawn. This bug report comes from this forum thread: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/95564-minsk-tramway-incl-metro-transit-diagram/ line-with-dashed-stroke.afdesign
  5. Hi all! I've only been using the Designer software for a few days, and I have no previous with graphic design software outside of Photoshop. My problem is that every time I create a dashed/dotted line, the dots never seem to match up where they meet at the start and end points, does anyone have any advice? See the attached screenshot of the issue. Thanks guys!
  6. Hi guys. I create a shape by Pen tool. Is there a way to make a dotted /dashed line around it? Thanks
  7. As per title: a line can be either solid with a pressure profile, or dashed, but not both. See this thread for discussion and my current workaround, but it is less than ideal. Thanks.
  8. Please let me easily transform any vector object. With a transform tool I could set the perspective right, and distort groups and other objects. For instance: I have a group of rectangles, and I want to transform and distort this group as if it was a line. I have a rectangle and I want to put it in perspective, or make a 3D effect. It would be great either have a transform tool similar to photoshop and the ability to select for instance the outer corners of a rectangle and option drag them towards the middle in the same amount. I definitely need a line tool. I want to edit every single bit of a line. I the ability to make a dashed or a dotted line. Of course I could use cmd-j, but I want it as a line so I can distort it. Also I want dashed lines for rectangles, etc. It would be great to turn a group of objects into a line, like when you have a couple of objects and you want to put them on a path and behave like they were a line.
