  1. When I crop an image, the image itself will be cropped, but the canvas remains still in the original size (see picture, blue frame of marking). When I now copy this cropped image to another Affinity Photo image or file it appears again in the original size - not in the cropped size. For me this looks like that cropping in Affinity Photo does not make a "physical" crop. How can I make a "real" physical crop? Should I always trim the image after cropping? I yes - what is the right way to trim? Can somebody tell me the best practice to crop an image physically? Thank you very much!
  2. Good morning, It looks to me (maybe I'm wrong) that is not possible to set some default settings to the crop tool. I'd like for example to have it always set on "Original Ratio" and with the "Darken Border" always checked, in order to speed up a basic process like cropping a bunch of catalog photos. I've found this intuitive option in every processing software I've used so far but can't figure it out here. Any ideas? If such a thing doesn't exist for AP it would be awesome to have it ASAP since it'll speed up the workflow, especially when working on several images. Thanks
  3. Crop many digitized photos for playback on TV. Format 16: 9 instead of unrestricted desired as a default setting at start. what to do? Please help.
  4. I am trying to create a custom crop preset in Affinity Photo 1.8 but it is greyed out when I try to do it. Any suggestions.
Hello, I want to know whether affinity photo supports cropping of imported pictures? I found that when I import a few photos and plan to make a stitched layout, my crop tool seems to only cut the size of the entire canvas. The operation I want to achieve is: when I import many photos into the affinity photo, I can freely and conveniently crop the imported photos. THANKS
  6. For Instagram posts, and when in portrait orientation, how can I change from a narrower aspect such as 2:3 to a squarer ratio of 8:10 without compromise on the composition? I know this can be done. There is a video or two on YouTube but it wasn't very clearly explained. Can anybody tell me step by step how to get around this issue?
  7. Hi, Downloaded the Beta of Affinity Photo to check if the crop tool was fixed but unfortunately not! When I try to crop an image the crop is far above and beneath the image and I have to scroll up and adjust and scroll down and adjust and this for every image I have to crop. In the old version of Affinity Photo this worked perfect and the crop tool was placed at the top and bottom image border like it should. How long do we have to wait to get this fixed or is this going to stay? Don't understand the idea behind it! It's just a bad work flow! Regards, David
