When I attempt to cut out or make a copy of a selection from a pixel layer, the selection is ignored and the entire layer gets copied/cut. The problem persists with all selection tools and with both keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+x, ctrl+c, ctrl+v) and clicking on the "Cut"/"Copy" and "Paste" options from the File menu. The problem is present in Photo as well as in Designer's pixel persona. The only workaround is to copy the layer, make the selection, invert the selection and erase the parts that are not needed. Very frustrating. Is there any way to fix this?

Hello all, Something I have noticed throughout all three applications... When I use Indesign, I replace a word in a sentence and it replaces that word with the same font style etc in the box. If I do it in publisher, I loose the text formatting for the word in the box. I then have to replace the new word font with the current font in the sentence. if I do it in photo and designer the same thing happens. If I lay out an entire magazine, and have to change a single word in a paragraph, it should automatically replace the work when I paste it in, with the same font and formatting style that was in place. It should not replace the word in the text box with a random font.. Am I the only on that seems to find this strange.... Or have I missed a setting or a check box that stops this from happening in all three applications...

When I copy a graphic object between Affinity designer and Affinity Photo the object selected in Affinity Designer appears 25% smaller in Affinity Photo. To be clear the settings in Designer are A4 page with 300 dpi and I have the same settings for Affinity Photo. The Object should copy and paste as the same size. What am i doing wrong or is there a bug in the software, thanks for your help. In the image below you will see the two programs open side by side and the difference between the two graphics on the same size canvas i.e a4 thanks for your help here
