  1. Hello, the Apple app store states that the Affinity Designer app is compatible with the Ipad Air 3 however after I purchased the app I received a message stating that it is not, in fact, compatible with this model and I need to seek a refund for my app purchase. I'm confused because I see people in this forum who have the Ipad Air 3 and are using the Designer app so am I receiving this incompatibility message in error or has the app recently modified to exclude the Air 3?
  2. Hello All, We were tasked with designing a large 4x8 business sign. The print company was asking for an AI, EPS, SVG or PDF for printing. STILL, Affinity Designer cannot export to AI. (shame on you) So, we exported the other formats. Unfortunately, all of the exports contained different anomalies depending on the export method. How in the heck can Serif expect to compete with Adobe and Corel, if their software is not compatible with those products, and exporting other formats is so bad? We really like using the Affinity software, and own all three products. However, you need to greatly improve your compatibility and export engine. This should be your priority, instead of nonsensical features.
  3. I have a large number of pdfs that were originated in Adobe Illustrator (v10). My needs for Illustrator were fully satisfied with the version, but it will not run on the latest Apple macOS Catalina. Retired, I only used Illustrator for nonprofit work. Affinity is a great deal. Affinity imports the pdfs with few glitches, but the text on the documents differs between my desktop and my iPad Pro. The text wraps undesirably on the iPad. Correcting this is difficult and it will take serious effort to determine whether, if reconstructed from scratch will solve the problem. On some text strings, a character that behaves like a tab character, when deleted and replaced by a space returns the same wide space between the two words. The text is left justified, ragged, so it is not a center justified paragraph issue. I have attached a file and will be specific about the issues, if useful. I am willing to accept a phone call, if useful to you. Blank.afdesign
  4. I haven't updated my MAC operating system for awhile mostly because of compatibility concerns. But I have updated both Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer to the latest versions. Can anyone tell me whether there are any compatibility issues between the Affinity programs and Mac High Sierra and/ or Mac Mojave? I don't want to update my OS and then have difficulties using these programs. Thanks
