  1. Hello, Let's say I have a JPEG that someone gave me and I don't like the white balance. I open it in Photo and go to the Develop persona where I can adjust the white balance, which is great. And so, I make my adjustments, and Save. Now that my work is done, I try to close the file using Ctrl-W (PC), but then a pop-up warns me that I must "Commit or cancel" before I can exit. The same warning appears if I click on, say, the Photo Persona, or even try to shut down the program entirely using Alt-F4... Then, since I understand the meaning of "Commit", and because I indeed intend to "commit" to the changes I just made, let's just say I hit Return, which is the way one normally "commits" in Photoshop, when there is any committing to be done. Except that, in Photo, ,othing seems to happen, and when I try to close the persistent JPEG, I'm still being asked to "Commit or cancel"... So where is the darn "Commit" button? :o) Sorry, please read "complete" instead of "commit" above, it's "complete" that is being used in this particular case, although I think I have indeed seen "commit" in some other place.
  2. When I open the image for developing using open with Affinity Photo i can see all of the adjustments on the panel but no ability to commit the changes and move to the main programme. I have tried Toggle views Reset Studio Hide Studio Restarting Mac If i simply open affinity and then drag the NEF file in it will skip the develop window and won't let me go back to it. Macbook Pro on Sierra 10.12.6 (16G29) Affinity Photo 1.4.3 Any ideas greatly welcomed. Ben
  3. I am trying to use the gradient tool on a mask layer to fade either side of a photo I'm compositing. I create a gradient on one side, and switch tools to commit it, then when I make another gradient on the other side, it removes/resets the previous gradient and overwrites it with the new one. Where is the commit gradient button? How to save and get out of the live gradient tool mode? Also for extra credit, how to make radial gradients?
  4. My first go with a RAW file, .NEF, from an approved camera. It opened in Develop Persona, I got fantastic results from adjustments, and I love the workspace. But I can't find the 'commit' button, so the program won't allow me to leave the persona for any other one, nor can I save my adjustments. Well and truly a stuck beginner. What am I overlooking (probably the obvious)?
