  1. The image below shows some curves I drew with the pen tool. How would I go about filling in the space in between each curve with a different colour? Here is an example of what I need: All help is appreciated. Thanks, Dan
  2. Would be great to define different colours for the helplines (activate one or more and choose the colour). Also the ability to delete one after activating it by just pressing the delete-button on the Keyboard.
  3. There is inconsistency in the colour rendering between what is viewed on screen (2017 MacBook pro – calibrated) and some of the default pdf export options. I have tested this on the defaults for PRINT, WEB and FLATTEN. The document is set up as CMYK and the placed image is also set as CMYK – as are all the colours used in the document. The image enclosed here is a screen capture of the Publisher working document. WYO-AS-Screen Capture.pdf

Windows 10 - Publisher 1.7.0.139 I've tried three documents - two from previous versions of APu, one new document - and the colour picker - on the Swatches panel - isn't picking up colours from the document canvas; it always comes back with 0,0,0. It picks colours from the UI and other Windows apps, just not within the document canvas itself. Doesn't matter is anything is selected or not. Although, I have noticed that the colour picker on the Colour Chooser palette does work, and the picked colour is transferred to the Swatches colour picker. Edit: Actually, that's stopped working now too. Another thing I noticed is that the CMYK of the RGB 0,0,0 that is picked shows in the Colour Chooser as 72, 68, 67, 88. I don't know if this is meaningful.
  5. Maybe I'm missing something here, but I am at a loss as to how to save a colour For example: create a box Fill it with a certain colour Now I want to save that colour so I don't have to mess around with wheels and sliders to create that colour at some point in the future

Windows 10 - Publisher 1.7.0.58 Work-flow to show problem: * Create a new document; * Create a Rectangle (as an example, could be anything); * Double-click the fill colour icon to open the Colour Chooser dialog; * Click in any of the '#' fields; * Enter any value; * Press Tab. The focus shifts back to the 'R' field but only when you input+Tab in one of the '#' fields. If you're in any field other than one of the '#' ones, Tab takes you to the next field as expected after input. Tabbing from a '#' field without making any input puts the focus onto the next expected field so the problem only seems to occur when input is given.
  7. Hi, I'm wondering why Affinity Photo and Designer are opening PDF file in different colour than I can see it on MacOS native Preview app? File is package print design I got from client in PDF format. I believe it has been made originally using Illustrator. When I open it in Designer I see extra red layer with blending mode multiply over graphic layer. Not sure what is it's purpose. Any idea what I'm dealing with? Best, Juha

  9. My first piece of work done entirely on iPad. Absolute game changer, thanks for all your efforts Serif. It was worth it. (Hi-res of this will end up on instagram later, once I’ve worked out how to reformat for square on iPad)

  11. In my never ending quest to simplify or streamline workflow in Designer, here is my latest request. Please allow users the ability to set a default colour palette. One that always shows up upon opening the app. Might be as simple as enabling users to just drag their chosen palette to the top of the stack of palettes in the list. :-) ...if there is a way to do this now please let me know. Thanks. Small thing. Big frustration.
  12. I can't find any way to change either the noise or opacity setting of a global colour. The "Edit Global Colour" pop-up doesn't have these options and changing the noise/opacity just sets it for the currently-selected layer. I've tried double-clicking in various places and different menus but can't figure out what to do. Am I overlooking something obvious, or is this a trick that has been missed?
  13. I have been searching for a while now, but cant find any "select same colour" feature. All I can find is a feature request post from 4 years ago asking for this. Surely this rudimental feature has been implimented by now. Selecting and replacing a colour is one of the main benefits of vector work, to not have this seems crazy to me. I know the dev team is small and your product is so superior to Adobe is so many ways, but missing fundamental features like this makes it unusable for real world projects. I hope I am being a dullard and a select same colour feature is available. If not please add it to the top of the list of features in the next update.
  14. I'd like to see the option to change a colour of an artboard when working in Designer. At the moment I'm using extra colour-filled layer to work on design when artwork is in white. It works, but it's not ideal. Thanks.
  15. I have some design to be done in white. How do I change colour of the artboard? I was looking for half an hour and can't find it. I know, I can add a coloured layer beneath everything, but I would prefer to do it without adding the extra layer.
  16. Hi, I'm new to this community but wanted to say I'm really enjoying Affinity Designer as an alternative Professional Vector Graphics Software.   17. In Illustrator it's quick and easy to sample a colour and apply it to a new shape - using the colour picker you can select a colour, and then use alt+click to apply it. I haven't been able to replicate this functionality in Affinity Designer - though please let me know if I've missed something! If it doesn't exist, I'd love to see this functionality since it's a real time saver.
  18. Is there a way to switch the brush colours back to the original black and white with "one" click?
  19. Greyscale become multicoloured when printing from Affinity Designer. Obviously a conversion to/from color profiles happens inside Designer. How can I prevent this from happening? (This happens to all colours. It is just shown best with greyscale.) My printer expects data in the same colour profile as my AD files working profile. (ISO coated v2 (eci)) When exporting a PDF/X1a and printing with Adobe Acrobat everything is OK.
  20. Here is a screen grab, the colour sliders says to me, adjust image in RAW upon opening image. However these colour levels when adjusted change the image to B/ W only i think ? Is their a place where i have not looked at, that is the same as this where by I click a button and can adjust colours on this page ? (While at RAW level, see top left of image.) I only ask as their is a B/W button you need to select, or if you touch the color sliders your change it to B/W which is what the button does in the first place. So maybe i have seen it all incorrectly, please advise. Hopefully my question is clear enough ? If not do ask please. Regards Rob

HI I purchased Affinity a while ago and when I import images they always appear to have a green colour cast and are less saturated than they appear in Lightroom or Photoshop Elements, I have tried assigning and converting colour profiles. Assigning my monitor calibration profile seems to help slightly but it still doesn’t match the way it appears in Adobe’s software. Can anybody help?
  23. Hi guys I mainly work with 32bit rendered EXR files. When I'm comping rendered objects into backplates, I need to be able to have coloured masks. This is to ensure shadows that are in alpha (masked), creates the correct tone on the backplate. A coloured mask can for example produce a blueish shadow, where a grey scale mask will produce a grey shadow. Is there perhaps a setting I'm not seeing? Whenever I convert a layer to a mask, it goes greyscale!
  24. Hi I'm trying to figure out why original photos viewed on system and external photo viewers looks different than opened in Affinity? I was trying to change every possible RGB colour profile, uncheck "convert working space" option, and "renderin intent" - nothing helps. So - why? Attached image: Left - Fast Stone Image Viewer, right Affinity. (I agree, this picture on left is oversaturated, but it is still an original).
