  3. Dear community, Is there any support for generating colors of your own choice on the internet for affinity softwares or something like color palletes or wheels. Please any one help out. Thanks, Aquil
  4. Hi! Please, is it possible to change the colour of multiple selected curves at one, BUT relatively to their innitial value? EG some sort of slight colorize effect. I swear, I have seen it before somewhere. There were several dots on the colour wheel moving together. Or was it Affinity Photo? Thank you
  5. Still learning by experimenting, but think I'm getting better --- thanks to Ability Photo. I had been using Corel Paint Shop Pro 2018, but it has been cast aside because I can come closer to the results I want. I definitely prefer the workflow with Ability. I found a site where someone saved a bunch of glass negatives from a photography studio that went back as far as the 1890's (possibly earlier). Here is the original image and the incomplete colorized image. I wasn't able to complete it today ... separating the sky and the foliage is going to take some extra time. I liked the result I got with the lace on her left side - both around her neck and especially at the cuff of her left arm. It was surprisingly fast and simple.
  6. A bit more colourisation. Open to any improvements/critiques
  7. My very first colourization in Affinity. Mainly done on Colour Balance Adjustment and Masks. Open to suggestions/improvements
  8. I've done some mono to colour in the past, but I've only recently begun to try it in AP. I scanned some old family photos a few years ago, and these two are of my grandfather and father (he's the younger one!) taken about 1949 or 1950, when Dad got his call-up. Granddad was a Special Police Constable, and they must have been showing off their uniforms. I'm pretty sure they were taken on Dad's camera. Anyway, to business -- I've reduced the images after recolouring, which cuts down the noise somewhat. The left-hand photo didn't look natural enough, so I tried Filters>Colors>Auto... (all four) and got the result on the right, which looks a bit more natural. Didn't work on Granddad though! I used a separate pixel layer for each colour, trying different combinations of blend mode and transparency till I was satisfied. Dad's eyes are a little stark, and there are some hard edges which need softening up ... but I'm still on the learning curve, and any constructive criticism will be welcome.
  9. I'm trying to colorize a black and white using adjustment layers and masking. I'm trying to emulate the following PS tutorial in Affinity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbveFU0JL4c His method is done by creating a color balance adjustment layer and masking out an item in the photo (skin in his case.) He will then fine tune the color by creating another adjustment layer and clipping to the first layer. He'll even make several more layers with different tones all clipped to that one initial color balance layer. He'll repeat this method for all the other items in the photo. I can't seem to clip new adjustment layers together. It will just be blank when I drag it into the thumbnail. Is Affinity not able to clip multiple adjustment layers together at the moment?
  10. Dear Community, its my first question here and I'm a “newcomer“ of the photography-world, but I think that you have an answer for my question. We are a small company from Germany which are selling gift paper & -ribbons. At the moment we are modify our catalogue and online-shop. Caused by that we need a lot new photos of our products, which we release with PhotoKey 7 Pro (very easy and good) want to edit afterwards with Affinity. Certainly a lot of our products are similar but in different colors. We want to shot one or two main pictures which are colored afterwards in the certain color. We have already tried it with "recolor" or "HSL-Adaptation" but there it is only possible to change the color with Hue/HSL. Primarily we are working with Pantone for our products, but also have the option to use RGB/HEX/CMYK. My question now: How can I colorize our images in a precise color (Pantone/RGB/CMYK/HEX) “fast & easy"? Here you find an example for one of our products and I will upload some images which we already shot. http://geschenkpapierverpackung.de/geschenkbaender/chiffon-geschenkband.html (it is our old presentation which getting an update) Thanks in advance, Carl Buening P.s. the “green-screen“ & light situation is just a first try, it will be better later (but we like it already) 1. original image https://www.dropbox.com/s/vu5893p1pd1pt0r/IMG_9869.JPG?dl=0 2. released image with PhotoKey 7 https://www.dropbox.com/s/81jgvpu8qu75nba/IMG_9869%202.png?dl=0 3. colored image with Affinity (not precise enough) https://www.dropbox.com/s/w2qnt5583qgjiuk/probe.jpg?dl=0
  11. Hi! I'm absolutely delighted by Affinity Designer from the first time I purchased and opened it, so first of all I'd like to thank all the devs for the great work they're doing! Now, I have a feature request, there's a little tool that I use every so often in Illustrator called the colorize tool. If I create some vector art in a color scheme (for instance in shades of blue and red) but then want to use it in a different background and would like it to be in different colors, I could go one by one to all the elements but if there are many it's tedious and time consuming. The colorize tool lets me change all colours at one using a color wheel that maintains basically the relation of luminance of each shade but changing the colors. Now I'm working with the color superposition tool to achieve a basic similar result, but a color changing tool like the colorize tool in illustrator would be more precise and versatile. Thanks and keep the great work! J.-
