  1. While using my Wacom pen on an illustration the colour brush became stuck on and started tracking all cursor movements around the screen. Command-Z undos would not remove those lines, but would undo previous brush steps. Are there issues with setting up Wacoms to work with with Affinity apps? I had to export the image and use in PS. Wacom driver is up to date. Using Catalina macOS on a MacBook Pro
  2. If you have macOS Big Sur or macOS Catalina you may notice that our apps are taking 20+ secs to launch after starting your Mac from cold or after rebooting your Mac. However, subsequent launches should be fine. This issue has been logged with our developers but a workaround can be found here.
  3. Hello; The rectangular selection tool does not appear in Catalina, I have just acquired Affinity Photo version 1.8.3 and as much as I am looking for it I do not see it, I am not sure that it is a bug or that my experience with Affnity is little. Attached screenshot, showing that the rectangular selection tool is missing. I need help with this Thank you Regards. Regards.
  4. Hi, I'm having trouble with Publisher repeatedly crashing. Using a newer iMac, Catalina. Everything worked fine for about 2 wks, then I started having difficulty getting the "Text" tool to work when I went back through to spot edit. It would activate the text frame but not allow me to edit the actual text. The cursor would be stuck center top of frame and the layer panel would jump to a different layer. My doc is a little long (160~ pages, barely any images yet). I thought the length might be an issue as I initially c/p as one long text block instead of dividing into chapters. Tried to c/
  5. I am up-to-date with Mac OS and with AF. I am trying to print a PNG or .aphoto image and am unable to get the image to print full size on MOAB Entrada Bright white 17 x 22" paper on Epson 3800. It prints 1/4 of the image, from the center of the image, in the corner of the whole paper. I have gotten it to print full size a few times but can't seem to find any consistency in the settings that determines this. Looking forward to a solution to this problem as printing is a key component of cutting ties to Adobe and moving to AF. Thanks

Add Frame Text with Frame Text Tool Change it to vertically justified Add picture frame with square text wrap Try to resize
  7. I have over 1.400 fonts installed on my MacBook (Catalina 10.15.3). When I create "artistic text", input any text inside and try to change the font by searching through all my fonts, after a few inputted letters in search Designer simply crashes. No report is given, no chance to recover any document and not a word about the crash when starting Designer again.
  8. I have downloaded the updated apps and installed them, but when I try to open them get an error message that the files are damaged and need to be put in the trash. I see that others have had similar problems, but can't find a solution. Please can anyone give me an idea of what to try next to get them opened and validated? It was so easy when I downloaded them last time!
  9. AP crashes reproducibly when attempting a frequency separation. I usually do this from inside a macro that implements a widge filter. Interestingly the preview works, but as soon as I apply the macro it crashes. It also crashes when using the frequency separation directly. System info inside crash report: Crash report, Callstack etc is attached. CallStack_etc.rtf
  10. Hi everyone, Affinity photo crashes every time I use the defringe tool to remove purple outlines in photos. I am editing .jpg files and get the same result with multiple different files. When I click on the purple area the software will show a preview of the image with fringing removed, but when I click apply, the whole app shuts down. I have MacOS Catalina 10.15.2 and Affinity Photo 1.7.3. Would be great if anyone knows a way to fix this. Thank you.
  11. I’m having an issue on a brand new Catalina install. When I export from export persona and write to a folder for the first time it works. However, when I make changes then have to re-export it will crash when I try to overwrite the files. This happens in any folder, except the desktop. If I export the files to desktop, then Export again. It works. But any other folder it will only work the first time. Overwriting the files causes designer to crash. Super frustrating. This happens with any designer file I open. I open the same file on my Mojave install, no issue. Crash Log atta
  12. I'll start by mentioning that I upgraded to Mac OS 10.15.2 yesterday from the previous OS (Mojave). I noticed today that when exporting a photo from Apple Photos, specifically one that I edited in Affinity last year before upgrading to Catalina, it does not reflect the edits I made. The original file was shot in RAW, I used "Edit in Affinity", saved and closed and it created the jpeg in Apple Photos. Before the upgrade, I've successfully exported to both jpeg and png, both with the changes I made in Affinity. What's odd is that the preview in Apple Photos shows my edit, but the export lo
  13. This is a bug report for scanning color documents into Affinity Photo on Mac. Moderator: I was registered on the legacy Serif forums, which did not automatically transfer to Affinity forums. I can reproduce when attempting color scans. (Note: Black & White, aka, gray-scale scans, however, import correctly.) Yes, this happens with a new document. Environment... OS & Version: Mac OS X Catalina (10.15.2) Expectation: Color scan will import / acquire from flatbed scanner correctly in Affinity Photo (attached: see color preview in 'Acquire Image' dialog) A
  14. Please, what is going wrong that I can't use anymore the extension in Photos IMac Catalina? After Catalina was installed Photos doesn't accept the edit made by Affinity extension. We need an update from Affinity to be in accordance with Catalina!!!
  15. Hello , what is the latest version update for Affinity on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.1 I haven’t receive any updates since Catalina came along. Thank you
  16. Hi, Mine is a tale of woe with a new Mac. It has now had its logic board replaced but when I turned it on I got a "Your Mac has run into a problem" message with a dump report. In the logs there were three reports all from the same time. Two were "proactive event trackers" but the third related to Affinity Publisher. I didn't think Publisher was running at the time. The code is below. Does it mean anything to anyone, please? Regards W —- crash-103018.txt
  17. After upgrading my Macbook and transferring all my files to the new computer via a Time Machine backup. Both Affinity Designer and Photo both come up with a “not responding” message. The splash screen appears then both programs just hang. No other programs including Adobe Photoshop or illustrator are behaving the same. They all open as expected. I have tried a few ideas suggested online like clearing the mac cache and finding preference files but nothing has worked. I am using a new 16” Macbook Pro running Catalina if this helps. Thanks in advance.
  18. Hello, I am new to affinity, I have a macbook pro 2012, 2.9hz, 8g Ram, with mac os 10.15.1 catalina. I did a lot of panorama with lightroom, and try to do so with affinity. Must of my pictures are in RAW format, Affinity work well to do the preview, but when I ask to create the panorama, it is very long, and crash everything. Do I need to change affinity setting due the size format ? Please anyone help me, I had maybe 6 panorama waiting. You can see a exemple of my previous picture with lightroom.
  19. Mac Catalina 10.15.1 (19B88) on MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019), 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 A .jpg shot some years ago didn't display although it "opens" and I can see the thumbnail in the Navigator. It displayed fine when I opened it in Designer, so I resaved it in that and then it displayed in Photo. Lynn Hansen
  20. Develop Persona > Clipping display controls have become scattered across top of interface. Highlights completely gone from view. Any ideas how to fix? I’m guessing a certain plist delete? Best – Dee macOS Catalina 10.15 Affinity Photo 1.7.3
  21. When I export ever since updating to macOS Catalina and Affinity Photo 1.7.3 the exports can't be read by the printer I use, which is a Noritsu Q553704 it made me download photoshop again just so I can print the photos.
  22. I don't known if it happened after Catalina update, but I can't read the description column in the slice icon (export persona). See attachment. Hope some fix is coming on.
