  1. I started using Photo 1.7.0.243 So far my issues / comments are: 1) My Canon 77D is now meant to be included in this release yet RAW photos are not visible as thumbnails when I try to 'open' a folder. Am I missing something? This is the main reason I thought I'd try out the beta version. 2) The hand tool used to increase / decrease the image size when twirling the mouse dial, now it moves the image around. Is this a permanent change? 3) Cropping no longer has presets. Do I need to set these up & if so, how? Basic ones like 2:3 & 1:1 would be useful. I haven't done much yet so might add some more comments later. Thanks Julie.
  2. In October I replaced my trusty Canon 40D with a Canon 77D and I bought Affinity as an alternative Photoshop, as my version would not open the Canon 77D raw files without a purple layer. I've not really used Affinity in processing RAW images until these last few days whilst I've being on holiday for the festive period. Now I've noticed there seem to have an issue when importing the Raw files into Affinity, all the colour seems to be missing, or washed out. Even the histograms are different. I'm using the camera to take both RAW and Large JPG images. I've attached some images to show what I mean. I've looked at other threads but all the things it suggests I've not being able to make a difference to the RAW import. Any help on this issue would be greatly received. Im more than happy using the JPG's but I would like to edit the RAW images with the colours in which they were actually shot.
  3. Hello, I have not yet purchased, nor even taken up the offer of the 10 day trial as I want to know for sure that my Canon 77D camera (have a Sigma 18-300mm lens too) is supported by Affinity for Windows. Neither the camera nor lens are listed as being supported but think it will actually work ok. Are there plans to add this kit into the Affinity supported gear? If so, is there a timeline / release date? What drawbacks will I face with a) the camera & b) the lens not being supported? I currently use Canon's DPP & having an unsupported lens is a real pain as I can't make any lens corrections. Thanks :-) Julie.
