  1. Hello: Here's another packaging exercise done in Blender. The can textures were done with Affinity Photo, as well as the final promo images. Also some color retouch and composting of several Blender passes to enhance the render. Let me know if there are any questions. Sharing some of the images of the process. P.D. Hopefully can work in an animation soon...
  2. Playing with Blender 3D to create this mockup for a fictional brand of potato chips. Textures done with Affinity Photo and Designer Here's also a Turntable animation. https://www.instagram.com/p/CniJqVVhImy/
  3. I'm trying to export a design as a SVG to import it into Blender for 3D work. Some of the curves are being rasterized and don't show up in Blender. What is going on and how can i fix it? Affinity Designer Version: 1.8.3.641 Blender Version: v2.82a Windows Version: 1909 Windows OS Build: 18363.752
  4. Hi, I recently switched to Affinity Photo from Photoshop. I used to composite my renders as 16bit PNGs in Photoshop. But, since Affinity Photo supports all adjustments and filters in 32bit mode, I started compositing in 32bit using EXR files. However, now the problem is OCIO. The renders from Blender use Filmic color management. As per @James Ritson 's tutorial on baking color space transforms using OCIO adjustment layers, I added two OCIO adjustments -- one from Linear to Filmic sRGB and the second one from sRGB to Linear (with view transform set to ICC in 32bit Preview mode). But, now my question is, where should I add my adjustments (curves, levels, etc.) for compositing? Below or above these two OCIO adjustments? Or should I add them between these two? And also, the problem is, Filmic makes JPEG or PNG layers look very washed out. So, I am currently placing my JPEG or PNG layers (e.g. cutouts) above these two OCIO adjustments and any adjustments that I need to make to my EXR layers, I keep the below these two OCIO adjustments. Am I doing this right? Or is the a different way to do this properly?
  5. Hey Guys! I saw a tip from blendersecrets which I found very handy. Set an app in blender to quick edit textures. My problem: I've bought Affinity Photo from Microsoft Store. I've set Photo.exe in blender path which didn't work. So I've noticed I can't launch the app directly from microsoftapp's folder (C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\SerifEuropeLtd.AffinityPhoto\Program: photo.exe) It works just clicking in start menu or similar. I Can't find any other folder to set it in blender. *I did the process with affinity designer which I bought from serif store and It works fine.
  6. Here's a tutorial on how to export vectors from AD and import them into Blender 3D. It assumes that the viewer has some knowledge of Blender, so the narrator sticks to the topic at hand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHSmNrfhcJ4 There are several tutorials across the web teaching the basics of Blender. As a matter of fact, someone started a site over the weekend for that very purpose... http://www.blenderhub.com
