Hey folks, I've noticed a problem in Affinity Photo 2, affecting both iPad and desktop versions, where changing a layer's fill opacity via the FX options from 100 % to anything between 100 and 0 % doesn't hide the layers contents as expected. Instead, the contents remain visible 100 % at all times. This seems similar to a previously mentioned, but seemingly solved issue with the 3D effect in Affinity Designer, indicating a possible consistent rendering issue with layer effects and fill opacity settings. To reproduce the Bevel / Emboss visibility issue, follow these steps: Open Affinity Photo 2 on either an iPad or desktop and create a new layer. On this layer, draw anything using any colour of your choice. Apply the Bevel / Emboss effect to the drawn layer. Reduce the layer's fill opacity to 0%. Expected Outcome: The layer contents should become invisible, leaving only the Bevel / Emboss effect visible. Actual Outcome: Despite reducing fill opacity to 0%, both the layer contents and the Bevel / Emboss effect remain visible, suggesting that the expected change in visibility does not occur. I'm looking for insights or workarounds from anyone who has encountered this. Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers Dennis

Question: Is there a way to rotate object effects (i.e. a drop shadow) with the object they are attached to in AD? Example: To clarify what I mean, let's consider this example: I have a rectangle with a 45° drop shadow. Now, when I rotate the object by let's say another 45°, I'd want the shadow to also rotate with it (resulting in a 0°/90° drop shadow, depending on direction). Similar to "Scale Effect with Object", just for all the angles of the enabled effects. Related (2nd) Problem: At least it would be expected that when I embed a file that I created in AD into AP and then rotate the embedded picture there, the effects should rotate together with the picture frame. I'd actually even say this could be considered a bug, since it's so counter intuative. (edit: seems fixed in latest version of publisher)

Hello - I need some help I attached some photo's to better explain the problem I am having. I am printing a Art Board with my finished work - it looks just fine on screen - but when I print it, the finished result is very different. One problem is text is much larger then what is seen on Art Board. The Text has a Bevel/Emboss Effect, but when printed it's all strange and cut off. Under the text is a shadow which was done by copy/paste/flip and then converted into curves to align, grouped and then given a Linear Gradient Fill. The image of the car was given the same Bevel/Emboss Effect and the shadow is the same as the Text. I've never had a problem when I print - this is the first time since the latest update. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
