Hi, First of all I am really looking forward to using the finished publisher. I was an avid user of PagePlus and must have had more than eight versions over the years. One feature that I would find really handy would be the option to insert/place an image into a document, then select a colour to appear transparent. For example, if you insert a pic of a dog with a solid white background, you could click a 'Select transparent colour' dropper and click on the white background of the pic, leaving a dog image for the text to have a Tight Wrap around my image. Is this going to be an available option or manipulate the pic by using the Photo Persona? (I have Affinity Photo). Thanks Andy

Hey all, I installed the application Affinity Publisher Public Beta and application will not launch. Steps: Install application on to Computer. Assign application to install on secondary hard drive. once application is complete, press and run Affinity Publisher Public Beta application short cut. Result: Doesn't start up when running application. Additional Information: I installed the application affinity folder where Affinity Design is located. Restarting the computer did not resolve the issue. My version Affinity Beta for iPad 1.6.7.67 constantly crashes when using the drag n drop feature. I've tried to drag n drop 100+ images to 30 images with the same result. Crash crash crash. I'm running iOS 11.3 beta 7 on 2nd gen iPad pro 12.9. I have even tried to do a hard reset with the same results. Also the implanting brush is exterior laggy. -
Hi there, Affinity Photo does not use crop when displaying the small preview pictures of default filter options (left side). The picture itself on the right side is shown correctly (with crop). -
Hey guys, Just downloaded the new Beta version, and I found this problem. When using Ctrl hold and draging a shape in order to duplicate it, the original shape will change its position as well by a few pixels. It happens very often, like 70% of all times. Is there a way to revert back to the previous beta version? It was pretty stable. Thanks, Chris -
Now I installed the new beta 3 on my iPad 10.5 (iOS 11.2.5) and now, Affinity photo is useless! But, do you test your beta? I cannot use brush, stamp tool, pen tool... when I start to draw something, nothing happened! Long press now works (for me, a little bit longer to wait is better). But when I want to draw... nothing. Text tool doesn't work as well. Gradient tool works... at 50%. I cannot select start/end points. I cannot do nothing with this version! I can zoom. I can apply some filters. And nothing more. Lasso tool.. nothing.. anything works!

Applied a frequency separation filter, applied the patch tool to the low freq layer to blend away some shadows. After selecting an area the 'selection' separates into a seperate window inside the image. See attached pic. The patch tool works as expected on a normal photo. Beta 1.6.7.69 IPad Pro 10.5 512gb

I was able to solve this with TWO control starts the second one resetting everything It was working and in mid-stroke it just stopped. Possibly related to the same issue in the touch up tools? I've just got back onto a project I was working on using the 1.6 Beta and after installing the 1.6 App Store version the beta version no longer works (which I was well aware of but was eager to get to grips with the app store version) but the problem I have is (Like an idiot) I'd built up a styles library of wooden textures which I can no longer access to just wondering if theres any way around importing styles from the beta version? -
I’m very interested in betas (or even alphas) of Affinity Photo, specifically the future iPad version. I’m pretty good at finding obscure bugs and documenting repeatable errors with screenshots. I have a 15” MacBook Pro with Touch Bar so if you need people to test the next version of Photo I’m all in. The app is crashing so much its no longer usable. Ive tried manually saving constantly and it still crashes and I lose all my work. I have been trying to work on the same file all day. Very frustrating. Ipad pro 2017, all apps updated today affinity beta ios 11 latest update

Is their a way to save as you work on the ipad while the file is open? The program is shutting down suddenly and I lose the work that hadnt been saved.

I created a shape (first a circle then I tried a square with same results) then clicked on transform to manually set the size. Once the measurements box opens I lose control of the main panels and am unable to close the measurements box. Had to reset the ipad both times. ipad pro 2017 fully updated ios 11 affinity beta -
Hello. I'm wondering if - yet again - I'm doing something wrong. I've made some adjustments and saved as a LUT (Screen shot 'Adjustments applied'). When I copy and paste the adjustments to another photo, they are fine. When I load as a LUT, the resulting adjustment is nothing like what I thought I'd saved. The second screenshot 'LUT applied' shows the same image, with the original and saved adjustment layers disabledm, and the LUT applied. I've referred to the LUT tutorial video and double checked that I'm not doing anything wrong, but I probably still am... Thanks in advance. -
I'm working with a relatively large (1.5 GB) file with multiple art boards and embedded PDF's. AD crashes every time I try to edit one of the embedded files. I've previously tried resetting all AD settings at startup, and just downloaded Beta 1.5 in the hopes that it would fix the problem, but it still happens every time I either hit 'edit document' or double click the embedded doc. I'm currently getting around this by reinserting all the documents I originally embedded as layers, but it's very time consuming. Any help or tips would be appreciated - thanks! -
First off, I am using astropad app on my ipad to mirror screen from my mac. I then use the apple pencil to interact with the mirrored screen. Just recently, AD crashes like mad when painting in draw persona with vector. This is the error report. The program crashes when I am vector painting (draw persona) on the iPad. I seem to be able to paint (pixel persona) just fine. What happens is that while vector painting, the whole app will crash. Most of the strokes are not saved, even if I saved just recently. It seems to reset to a previous save, but still preserves a few strokes. Not one particular stroke seems to set it off, it just happens all of a sudden. I can eventually get the vector strokes in, but only after a number of stoke/save/crash/reopen sequences. See attached file for the error report error report.rtf -
Hi, it seems the "artefacts on 32bit images" bug is still around. I used the Vignette filter on a 32bit HDR stack and got a grid that's also visible in the exported image (see attached screenshot). Cheers, Henning

I'm exporting multiple artboards to a PDF multipage document. In AD Beta 4, I get frequent crashes - the program just quits. I know to save before exporting (on any program) but here the crash occurrence is almost predictable. -
When I export a layout to PDF, in this case a multiple artboard document, there is a very slight white line. I first thought I didn't bleed my images so I checked, but they are clearly off the artboard and bleeding. But on Mac Preview (and also Acrobat Pro, PDF Expert etc) there is still that white line. I blew up it so I can show you and please see attached here. Also I first thought this was an AD Beta (4) issue but I checked it out in 1.5 and same thing. By the way, the white box you see here is not the spacing between pages - the end of the white part is where the page ends.

You have to 'Show Grid' then can 'Show Guides'. Cannot show only guides while turn grid off. Just try my file to see the bug. This file has been created by the store version. Thanks :) test_Guide.afdesign

Hello, AP 1.5.2.66 (Beta) crash on Windows with Wacom Tablett, Bamboo Driver V5.3.0-3. First: - Manualy uninstall the previous beta (in system control) - Install AP Beta 1.5.2.66 -> (no error messages) --- 1. Start AP Beta (First: Wacom Pencil moves normally) 2. Create new Picture or open an existing picture (does not matter) 3. Center the picture with the hand tool -> Movement with a tremble effect 4. Select the brush tool and move brush on canvas Result: The brush tip moves in a different place on the picture -> then AP crash immediatly. I hope I could help. Pinnochio
