Hello all Looking for some help with adjusting the background text box so that it extends past the last letter (Fully covers the text) When text is standard its not a problem but as soon as Text is slanted or Shear is increased the background colour annoying just cuts off and it looks wrong. Any suggestions? Cheers

The black and nearly black backgrounds of Affinity Photo windows, toolbars and palettes entirely distract me and I'm sure Serif knows that reading white type reversed out of black background is a strain. How do I change the UI preferences to display white or light backgrounds?

While I was cooking up some white vector drawings for a design which eventually ends up on a dark background it became clear that an ability to set the display colour of the "blocky" transparent canvas background would be very helpful. At present I use a locked dark background layer to work on, but I was wondering if I overlooked a setting somewhere that allows me to make that "blocky" transparent background a lot darker (for instance, by making the greys used in the block pattern much darker so it is still clear it is the transparent canvas). Anyone? Note to self: find a way to auto-follow topics I post, I keep forgetting to tick the "follow" box :).

I am trying to put a text into a jpg image. When the text box expands (as I write the text) both text and background are black and I cannot figure out how to change either. I thought earlier that I had it figured out but I was clearly wrong. Is there a tutorial that I have missed that would walk me through this as it doesn't work in a logical way that I can just figure out from looking at my options. The help pages didn't yield anything either (or I missed it). I have also looked at some posts about rasterisation, unfortunately that went straight over my head - I am self fought and probably not knowledgeable enough, sorry. Thoroughly frustrated, any help is most appreciated.
