  1. Hi Folks, I'm after some help again.... So I really admire two very very good automotive photographers... Amy Shore and Laurent Nivalle. Both have a similar(ish) style and this extends to their editing process. I have read numerous interviews with both of them and they both mainly use Photoshop (Sorry to swear!) rather than lightroom and I am very keen to try and re-caprture their respective styles but by using Affinity Photo. I have attached two files which are photos from both Laurent and Amy respectively. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction to try and obtain the same style? Obviously I don't want to be copying their styles out right as that is not what photography is all about but I am very curious as to how to achieve this. Thanks folks, hope you can help. Regards Mark All credit for the attached two images go to Amy and Laurent.
  2. BUG I don't see any use of "lock" on layers. If I'm working on 100 layers, and I've saved a few layers as references and locked them.. but if layer is selected and (not intentionally) and an Assistance will come and will say.. "HA HA HA... this time I have killed you " It does't even tell me that my layer is locked, I accidentally selected a locked layer out of 100 layers, and that is not preserved anymore. How to reproduce: 1. Create a document 2. Draw something on selected layer 3. Lock this layer 4. Select Eraser and Erase some part on the layer image 5. this layer will be unlocked by itself and A small Assistance will appear that " It should prompt that layer is locked and you can't edit it.. MacOS Catalina - 10.15 (19A602) Affinity Photo 1.7.3 Macbook Pro -mid 15, 15inch.
  3. Hi friends, My little sister lost a friend to cancer last year. He was 17 and an athlete up till diagnosis. Tough story. I've been tasked with designing a logo for a memorial golf tournament. I am having trouble identifying a Designer/Photo tutorial to achieve the look I am aiming for. I'd like to take his image and convert it simple illustration above text. Any assistance and/or direction to a tutorial would be very much appreciated. All the best, Jon See examples and provided photo attached.
