  1. 🇬🇧 Hi, I often use the font provided with the macOS system, “Emoji Color”. The illustrations are beautiful, they can help in an intermediate phase of creation or in a publication and cover several different themes… The “Glyphs” Palette available in the three software packages of the Affinity suite allows you to view these illustrations. Unfortunately, the “image-characters” of this font are enriched as operating system evolves. If we consider a specific theme, all of its images are distributed anywhere within the font, they are not grouped together, which imposes a loss of time and patience to visually find the right image… 😡 I offer here Content bringing together “almost” all of the illustrations of this “Emoji Color” font, which is located in the (protected) system folder –> Library –> Fonts, from my mac which is currently running macOS Ventura 13.6.4. The font is in version 18.3d3e1. The illustrations included in this font are bitmap images, cut out, without background, a sort of .png!… After analyzes and tests, the maximum definition seems to be 160 x 160 px. No wonder file is almost 190 MB: these are not simple vectors that make up this font, but RGB images with alpha channel and there are hundreds of them!… In AD, we define a text box in AD, we choose the “Emoji Color” font and we select (all?) the illustrations belonging to a specific theme. Then, we apply the “Convert to Curves” function to recover all the bitmaps which are then incorporated into Content, all classified by theme. Here are the main themes that I was able to identify: > Sports > Hands > Squares Rounded Corners > International Flags > Faces and Human Activities > Bodies and Human Activities > Animals > Smileys > Food > Weather & Cosmos > Hearts > Objects > Art & Culture > Transport & City Unfortunately, there are still a few orphans!… Emoji Color.afassets.zip

  5. Hi, I made an Affinity Designer asset that contains Social and others logos. You are free to use this logos. SocialAndOthers.afassets
  6. When I download some asset files and I go click on the file, it brings up a pop up that says I need to download an app from Microsoft store in order to open, but that doesn't work. If I go to Affinity designer and click import asset, it says "unable to import file". What do I do?
  7. Bug report. Using the latest version at the point of writing this ( v1.10.5.1342 ) Video with explanation attached below. (Has audio) Thank you for taking your time looking into my report. Please do correct me or provide other inputs for me to further update this post. The asset text change is permanent and will look deformed on other new documents too. 8. Hello, I don't know if this happend in previous version, but if you import an asset wich inherits symbols to a file, every instance of it gets added as seperate symbol to the scene. Please see the attached video. Or am i doing something wrong? If you need any further information, please let me know. Thanks and best regards Mario 2020-09-02-21-47-16.mp4
  9. Aff Designer + Photo 1.101 : PC (Win 10) crashes when I try to change the name of a new asset in studio. AND: if a window on second monitor is opened, Affinity does not support click and draw a png or jpg into the program - sometimes there is a warning-tone, sometimes chrashes the whole software.
  10. Hi, I've noticed that as I drag a text asset from the assets panel to the art page, it doesn't preview before letting go of the mouse button. It worked before the 1.9 update. All other assets whether grouped (including text) or an image work fine...
  11. Hello all. I just upgraded to 1.9.1 The upgrade came with free assets and I downloaded those with 1.9.1 I followed the instructions on the AP site and went to find the assets panel by going to view>studio>assets...and nothing happens and I cannot open the assets panel. I have the previous version of AP on my Mac and the assets panel pops up with out a problem. Also missing in 1.9.1 when I go into the tone-mapping persona are the presets that were included with AP when I first purchased it two upgrades ago. So, here are my questions: -Why can't I access the assets panel? -Which folder does AP use to download assets on a PC? -What happened to the tone mapping presets? -How can I return AP to the default settings? -Is it possible to download to the an earlier version of AP? And if so, must I uninstall AP 1.9.1 before installing a previous version? Thank you for any suggestions or information that you might have to help with these issues
  12. I created some assets in Affinity Designer. I exported these from Designer, saved to disk, and imported the assets file into Publisher. When I try to use/drag an asset in Publisher, Publisher immediately force crashes. I am using both Affinity Designer and Publisher 1.9 on Apple Silicon (M1). If I switch to the Designer persona, it still crashes when trying to use/drag an asset. However, if I open the file in Designer, Designer does not crash. If I then try to open the same file in Publisher, Publisher immediately crashes and does not open (!!!). Update/fix: I think I figured it out. My assets included artboards (first imported to the asset pane as part of a category and then exported as an assets file). Knowing that Publisher doesn't support artboards, I created a test assets file consisting only of regular Affinity objects--not artboards--such as grouped items. These imported just fine into Publisher without issue. It seems to me that Publisher is trying (and obviously failing) to import an artboard without properly handling that inability, thus resulting in a crash.
  13. Yesterday my Assets panel just went haywire. The Assets Categories are fine all the way down to a certain point. The content match the title of the Category as it should. After that, the 13 categories at the bottom have the wrong titles. When I open one of them and select Rename category... the name that pops up in the dialogue box is the correct one! When I try adding a new category and rename a previous one, the last category disappears! When I make another category, the content reappears, but under the wrong Category name...! If I create a new Category and rename it, no name shows. The field where the new name of the new Category should show is empty. It's like trying to design in the Twilight Zone...
  14. Hello, The thumbnails are not showing up in the asset panel, instead I get those colored thumbnails. I added those cutouts all in one go from a layer stack, and they just came like this (except the last one). The other cutouts in other categories do have the thumbnails. How can I get the thumbnails back? Thanks in advance. P.S. I am on windows 10.
  15. Affinity Photo 1.81.3 on windows 10 desktop Anytime I try to add anything to the asset panel it freezes the program. Help 5/12/20 Now Photo will load but even trying to create a new document frezes the program.
  16. Hello, I design lots of UI for websites using affinity designer. I was just checking the Affinity Store to see whether there is a UI kit to buy. I noticed there were mostly brushes for sales. If you could maybe add re-usable UI kit for sales on Affinity Store. Thank you,
  17. Hello, I work on the same documents both at the office and home using a portable Hard Drive. I was wondering if was possible to link one Assets file on the portable HD so I don't have keep reloading assets to keep both locations updated? Also I have a large number of image files I use everyday and wondered if it's possible to use the stock window to link to a folder in your system or a portable HD for easy access and searching. Thanks, -Kevin
  18. Cool, I finally saved up for Affinity Publisher & it totally rocks: I created 8 assets, all from scratch. 8 Varieties.afassets
  19. Hi, there seems to be no "one click" way to resize/scale a layer or vector object to the current canvas size. I would love to see this as an option when adding a layer/asset or as a button on the transform tool context bar, because I often have to manually resize assets or new layers when dragging/dropping objects to a document. Seems it would take just little effort to implement this and would incredibly reduce the amount of manual adjustments. What do you think? This feature was already suggested some times as in the threads listed below but it seems there is no easy way to achieve the desired result:
  20. This may not be a bug, but a limitation of the software. I am an architect and use Designer for site analysis graphics, amongst many other uses. The graphics tend to be built up using many layers, each of which has a unique bit of data. I then bring the graphic into publisher and select which layers I want to show. Two things: I have found that if I copy an placed asset and double click to edit the layers, the layer changes will affect the copy and the original. So to avoid this, I place a fresh instance of the graphic for each view. This works fine. Until... If I make a change to the original designer file, the resource manager quite helpfully tells me to update the content in the publisher file. But... every instance of the placed graphic then gets reset to the same layer settings, so I have to go through the whole report, resetting all the layer structures. Is there a way of the placed asset remembering the layer settings? If not, can I please request this as a tweak to the next iteration of Publisher? Many thanks. Loving the software.
  21. Hi All, I've gone a bit nuts downloading loads of free icon and other asset packs and now have about 13 categories (from importing .afasset files). Is there any way to start merging some of these categories? So far I can only see how to move sub categories around within the main category. Cheers Adam

  23. Hi i build a constrain indicate arrow asset for UI design. Hope this will be helpful. combo arrow groups first ,you need to select the object, double click to choose the child group, then you can make the change just by draging the object. constantin indicate arrow asset2.0.zip
  24. Hi. I have a simple 10x10 area I want to fill with a 1x1 pattern without stretching or distorting the pattern. I have drawn the initial pattern in AD. I can rasterize it, but the fill tool insists on stretching it to make it fit instead of repeating the raster. I'd prefer to keep the pattern 'live', like a symbol, so I can still edit it after setting up the file. Should I aim to work with the source pattern as an asset? a source? a bitmap fill (which seems like the worst option)? Thanks folks. Dying here.
  25. I've attached two AD files containing templates: [1] for creating icon/tile assets for a UWP app (if you can't use the Asset Generator of Visual Studio 2017); [2] for creating Microsoft Store art. Even if you use the Asset Generator you can still use the templates to see how your icon will look in various tile sizes/shapes. (The attached image is just there so you can see what you get with the first set of templates.) Basic instructions for each set of templates are included in the AD files themselves. Both sets of templates were used for my own - very simple - little app... * on the web: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/p/pipagen/9p44qw5l4vm8?activetab=pivot:overviewtab * in the store: ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9P44QW5L4VM8 ...so I know they work (at least as far as I've been able to see in normal usage). Neither set of templates is comprehensive but they give you the basics for most general projects. UWP Tiles Templates.afdesign Microsoft Store Art Templates.afdesign
