  1. I have a wondering about the boxes surrounding artistic text. In my example in the attached picture the text position related to the box surrounding it isn't the same for the different words. Why is that? And is it anything you can change? When to position text with the x-cordinates this becomes little of a dilemma. Naturally when you want to align text it's the text itself that you want to align but in this case it's the boxes that correspond to the x-cordinates. So my question is: Is this how it's suppose to be and i've missed something? And in either way, can i do something about it?
  2. I need to know how to edit existing text within a Artistic Text box. I want to change the word Town to Townhall while retaining all of the particular settings. I need to repeat this type of action with several words but can't figure out how to select the text to do so. Thanks, Scot
  3. The adjusting the limits of an artistic text along a drawn line is clear in AD. Unlike Illustrator, however, there does not appear to be a way to move the entire text within these limits to the desired position along the line. Of course, I can adjust the two red limit indicators to achieve the desired effect, but this is a longer and more difficult process than simply adjusting a center indicator to move the entire text on the line (as In Illustrator). Am I missing something or is there a way to do this?
  4. I have made the site names on the maps I've created in AD all with the frame text tool. However, many of those I imported from Illustrator are in rectangular text boxes but are artistic texts when I select them. A frame text is much easier to get out of (click outside the box and choose a tool = my own shortcut) but with artistic text I have to push esc a couple times and then select a tool. I often click outside (forgetting that the name is not a frame text) and then have to get back to where I was before. Earlier an AD moderator seemed to like my idea of making a click outside an artistic text work like it does with a frame text---and I hope that will appear in some update. In the meantime, is there anyway to change an artistic text to a frame text (either individually or globally)? I do not see this option in the bottom left of the Context Toolbar. To date I've simply been creating a new frame text and replacing the artistic box, but for thousands of names, that is a real chore. Many thanks. PS: All of my work with text anchored on a stroke must of course be artistic text, but any reason why my text within what appears to be a frame text rect is actually artistic text? Just wondering if there is any answer.
  5. AD & AP: The "Bitmap" fill type option is only availabe if Gradient tool is activated. If it's possible and convenient with the Serif software design concept, please add this also directly to the Fill and Contour option of Text tool. I once used it with the Gradient tool "accidentially" correct, but it's over two weeks ago and I could not recall from brain (or whatever there is) - I was searching for over an hour...   Cheers (time 4 a beer :P), Roland
  6. Please may I suggest: I am really missing 3D Artistic Text, so in Photo and Designer. Using the Mesh Wrap and Perspective Tool should not convert Artistic Text into Pixel format. This features would be really useful to have them added. Many thanks in advance! Cheers, Roland
