Activate Initial Words for a paragraph and add e.g. \t as End Character. This area widens suddenly and the representation for \t is invisible. To make it visible again, delete some of the first End Characters.

1. Create a CMYK document. 2. Place a greyscale JPG (or even TIFF) image. ICC does not matter. 3. Print. Result: Empty page, although the print preview shows the image. What works, is placing the greyscale image in a greyscale document. My printer is a HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M751.

Often enough I have to work on tables, that come as a PDF and are not tables anymore. My workflow is then to create a new table in APu and drag the (marked) text into the cells of the newly created table. Unfortunately I am not allowed to drag text into tables that are outside the page (cursor with red X shows it). The tables have to be at least a tiny bit on the page (I personally prefer a greater distance between table and text). But it is possible to drag text from off-the-page to a table on the page. It would be nice to drag and drop everywhere, no matter where the elements are. EDIT: In v1.x it was possible to drag text into tables off-the-page.

I was looking for something else, so this is just an accident. 1. Create a text frame in Affinity Publisher with as many columns as you like. Each column has to be this wide enough to hold a single character. In my case 1,825 mm, but this depends on the font size. 2. Add your text to the frame. 3. Add a motion blur from the Photo Persona. 4. Done! Depending on your used font, it could be that you have to replace spaces with non-breaking-spaces. Enter the Matrix and have fun! matrix-rain.afpub

1. Create a style for a text frame in APu where the text is vertically centered. 2. Export the Styles Category. 3. Import the Styles Category in AP. Result: Everything works, but the text is not vertically centered aligned anymore. Textboxen.afstyles

I have a large volume of text I wish to format into 4 columns over a two-page spread. I copied the text out of Swift Publisher, and pasted it into a single column text box in Affinity Publisher, thinking this would be a routine operation. Instead it has turned into an ordeal. As you can see from the movie I’ve attached, when I select the text box and click on the little column adjustment tool, the text does not reflow in anything remotely resembling a logical way. I thought maybe the text block had picked up some weird invisible characters/artifacts in Swift Publisher, so I dropped it into a TextEdit document first and converted it to plain text, THEN copied it into AP. This had no effect whatsoever on the problem. I feel like I’m going to have to retype it from scratch to get what I want, and what I want does not strike me as anything fancy, or complicated, or unreasonable. This looks like a bug to me. Is there a fix? Thank you for your help. Incomprehensible_Text_Box_Column_Behavior.mov

Hi, I've got a Master page with Page numbers a some decor. It's applied to all other Master pages. I can't modify (external) margin of this Master pages first. Or APub closes. I need to modify all other MP's margin first, and after this I can modify those Master pages' margin. (I don't know if the margin error — different value — come from the new Bêta, but all my Text frames are based on the margin I want to restore.) 62f8c8ba-b93f-42e2-baef-3c8bfc732282.dmp a478b9b6-18f0-406b-9e5f-14084558dea1.dmp 5fd1d024-700d-41a8-b07c-cfc58f7e3298.dmp
