I haven't confirmed this by myself since I don't have a iPad right now. I have received this report from other user. According to them, the value of the wheel on the Adjustment panel is not adjustable with the Apple Pencil. And the panel will be gone when they touch it. e.g. Color Balance Adjustment panel

Hi, I’m having two issues with the colour picker tool on my iPad Pro 12in while using an Apple Pencil. Firstly, the pencil is not selecting the colour I choose; ie, I select the tool, move and hover over a colour, release the pencil off the screen (mimicking the finger process) but it does not select the color, ie the swatch does not change to the colour I have chosen. The selection process works perfectly when I use my finger. Secondly, selecting the colour picker results in two magnifying selection dots that hover over the screen, rather than the expected single dot (see attached pic).

Whenever I try to make a stroke on my iPad mini (6th Generation) using my Apple Pencil over sidecar (USB), Affinity photo has a small amount of lag before the stroke appears, which is really annoying. I included a video of it as an attachment. I tried messing with performance settings, but that didn't really do anything Screen Recording 2022-02-01 at 2.55.31 PM.mov

Affinity Photo on iPad is amazing. However I need a small feature that I could not find. And it is that when working with the Apple Pencil, I cannot see the shape of the brush when drawing or erasing, which complicates giving precise strokes. I would like it to be more like working with a Wacom tablet. Congratulations on your app. I love it!

Affinity Designer 1.9.3, iPad. When I either place a text frame, or select an existing text frame I get what’s illustrated below. This seems to block access to the standard full size keyboard + I can’t scribble into a text frame either. Sure I can use the small lite Scribble keyboard and move the Scribble panel to the side to change to bold too, but I can’t access all the characters available on the full keyboard, or type using fingers easily. Not on the tiny keyboard with my fingers anyway. The only way I seem to be able to get out of it and access the full keyboard, is to put the app into the background and then call it back again. Then the full keyboard comes up. Is there a setting I’ve missed here, or some action? I’ve been through the preferences.

As a designer, we are expected to design in many different areas. The vast majority of these are for two-dimensional surfaces, for example designs such as emblems, logos, banners, brochures and, more recently, social media visuals in general. Occasionally, we may need to do it for designs that go to the third dimension, such as packaging, awards and plaques. In this video, I wanted to show what stages a three-dimensional plaque design consists of.

I’m intentionally seeking to learn from some of my favorite artists by attempting to emulate aspects of their styles. This particular exercise in admiration is based on the flowing ribbons and gradients of @serdarduran’s work. Created solely on Affinity Designer for iPad with Apple Pencil (including the sketch, which is a first for me).

Independent commercial fishermen have lost a huge chunk of their market due to lockdowns around the world. Support local fishermen; eat seafood. This piece was inspired by Zutto. Found her amazing work through Affinity's Spotlight blog. (Yes, I’ve been mulling over her bubbly style for quite a while now; The date on that blog post is January 2019 😅) It was a little challenging to translate the more liquid style to something with very symmetrical, defined structure. It probably would have worked better if I hadn't done a head-on view of the crab so that the legs were overlapping. Ah well. Onwards and upwards. Drawn on iPad Pro with Apple Pencil.

Hi guys, just a question if it's just me or if I'm doing something wrong: When I want to scale an object proportional on the iPad I put down one finger and then use the other finger to scale the object. That works fine. However, if I hold down one finger and then try to scale the object with the Apple Pencil, this gives me chunky results. Sometimes it scales, but not proportional, sometimes it moves instead of scaling the object. So am I doing something wrong? Are there any settings I need to adjust? Unfortunately there are not much tutorials on how to use Affinity Designer with the Apple Pencil. Thanks, Carsten

0A080C39-EE71-498E-B7A4-C7F0AC5FC666.MOV I have recently bought Affinity designer on my iPad Pro however as I’ve been using it the pencil became inaccurate in the selection. I would point at the shapes I want to move or vectors I want to adjust or the location I want to select and the accuracy would be way off. I have tried to use the pencil on other apps such as notes and it does not have the same issue. So, I believe it is the app itself. How do I go about re-corroborating the Apple Pencil with the app?

Hi, When editing my vector drawing I would like to use the selection tool to select, transform and move the complete eye including outlines and shadows. The tool only allows to draw a rectangle at 1 of 5 attempts (at the faulty attempts always a whole grouping is moved). As soon as I manage to draw a rectangle, not a single layer is marked, although the settings are set in the global settings (see screenshot). The selector "edit all layers" in Layers Studio is also on. I also tried, after selecting the main group, to reach the other objects and groups by double-tapping, but even in this attempt it was not possible for me to combine all the blacks and gray lines of the eye in one selection. I attach my complex AD file to you. How can I quickly select the eye including shades? This problem costs me a lot of time as I have to search for layers in hundreds of layers as a workaround. Instead of making a change in a minute, it takes a lot of effort. The app is really very good, but the Move tool is currently a showstopper when using it. Best regards Sandra Unbenannt_4.afdesign

Started this one as a sketch on a stormy day. I wanted to make it look like it was a photographed piece made from construction paper. The best part was being able to complete the entire thing on my iPad from anywhere I happened to be, rather than sitting at a desk or with a rapidly warming laptop across my thighs. My first piece with the soon-to-be industry standard!
