  1. While doing some ‘messing around’ I noticed that I could apply a Style (click on it in the Styles Panel) while no layers were selected (or existing) and that would cause the application to add an “Apply object style” item to the History which meant that I was asked if I wanted to save my changes when I tried to close the document. Odd but not a massive problem. I then noticed that I could apply a Style – with nothing selected – but then newly-created shapes did not have the Style applied. See attached video. My question is: “Why is it possible to apply a Style when no layers are selected?” Or, to put that another way: “What does clicking on a Style, when nothing is selected, actually do?” Note: I very-rarely use Styles so I could easily be missing some vital information. 2022-08-12 08-39-23.mp4
