Hi, In this Affinity Photo tutorial I show how to create a manipulation of a noble monkey. This effect also works with your own photos, maybe pets or people. For a kind of art or for funny effects or for a gift ... I wish you fun with the video. Ciao Jack

Hi! I was creating some brushes especially to make sketches, it cost me a little to find what I wanted, but finally this is the result: D I hope you like it.

If anyone had asked me short time ago what would I go for if ditching Photoshop for digital painting, my normal answer would have been "Affinity Photo". But then one day I found myself painting in Designer's pixel persona and loving it too! I'm faster every time and understand a bit better the brushes, which for whatever the reason have always been a bit of a hard to handle and tame subject matter for me in Serif products. I am currently researching on different species for better and more effective workflows when it comes to science communication and illustration. This is an attempt to improve painting fur... More to come! Full project including time-lapse here: : https://www.behance.net/gallery/93107969/Scientif-illustration-Mammals UPDATE ON RESEARCH> So, now I am trying to replicate this craziness with the so called vector brushes in the Designer persona. I reckon the guy on the left needs a comb! hahaaha!! Anyways.. one step at a time, I'll get him one. The one on the right is for comparing both versions side by side. Brushes galore!!

Hi. I am attempting to place an animal on to a new background. The one I've shown here is just a practice run using a tiger that had a lousy background but the photo isn't what matters, I chose this one because it is difficult to mask. I have 2 layers; the tiger and the background are different layers. I masked the tiger out of the background and refined the selection as best I could figure out on my first attempt in Affinity Photo on iPad Pro. However, I am struggling with a few things; getting a better refined mask and fixing that slight light edge on the tiger. So I'm hoping for any suggestions for fixing this or a link to a tutorial. I've searched but not found a tutorial that covers selective darkening (brushing an area to darken it) and how to get perfect masking around fur. Thanks for reading and I hope this made sense. Martin

Was just testing some new things in Affinity Designer 1.7.1 and had this random blob (curve) on the screen, and it looked like an animal, so —a tiny bit later— this came out. Tested the new stroke arrow options too (the feet). The vectorised voronoi pattern was generated with CINEMA 4D, rendered out, passed through "potrace", and then imported as curve into Affinity Designer. Not sure that's the best way, but works for me.

Here’s some of my photo manipulation done in my love: affinity photo for iPad dont challenge me here, because I care less if your work is better than mine, rather I care if you yourself like your work as well as mine to share with me and all who feel the same describe your techniques, how long it took, anything original about your workflow... leave SE your raw assets if you want, let’s create a discussion about improving how we use affinity

HI, I am a newbie and am gradually working my way through all the tutorials. I have watched the one on refining, however, I struggle to create a good 'fur edge' with my hairy cavalier! I seem to end up with block feet, please could you advise on a process for me to get a better result. I am pretty rubbish at this!!! Many thanks B
