  1. This is the other side of the spectrum, good ol' isometric vectors It became part of a larger infographic that a colleague of mine finished (and which I can't share at the moment). The beauty of isometric design is that once You have correctly scewed and rotated Your building blocks even larger scenes become pretty straight forward – Affinity Spotlight recently shared a great tutorial on that. The trickier parts are of course geometries at odd angles, as well as round structures. Full disclosure: we bought a similarly looking original from iStock, but due to the messy way that vector and raster layers were intertwined we decided to use it just as a reference and rebuild the whole thing properly.
  2. Vector aircraft illustrations, I plan on making an entire series out of the concept.
  3. A vector illustration -There are no 'Pixel Persona' layers in this one because I removed them. They didn't seem to add anything worthwhile to this image. There are a few textures though -the main one being a photograph of one of the sandstone paving slabs on my patio. Another thing about the working file is that after a few raster images were added, the file became quite sluggish to work with. I'm not sure if I'm approaching this the wrong way. Since it's vector, perhaps I didn't need to create the file at 300dpi? Some advice is needed for that. I started with a sketch in Pixel Persona -that really is a great function of AD. I find it very useful. Best wishes, Kevin
  4. Hello, This is my first time really illustrating anything. I've always dabbled in all kinds of graphics software before but have never had the commitment to generate output. Most of my time with tools like Inkscape, Blender, 3D Studio etc have always been exploratory. Please feel free to provide feedback. Thank you, craftybones [EDIT] I edited to get rid of some spaces between various parts and tried experimenting with a flat look.
  5. My first work in Affinity Designer. In my search for alternatives to Adobe's Creative Clouds (without monthly payments subscriptions) is Affinity Designer the tool for me to replace Illustrator. The only thing I miss in Affinity Designer, is better print and export opportunities with crop marks and bleed options.
