  1. I have googled a bit but are there any patches that will fix this? It's is very annoying that makes me think the area is not filled properly. This happens I believe is an UI problem, adjust the "Background Gray Level" makes it go away (nearly invisible)
  2. The simple bilinear rendering algorithm has already been criticized before as not delivering optimal results, and is was already suggested to use more advanced rendering methods like Directional Cubic Convolution Interpolation. While that would certainly be a significant improvement, I want to point out another, albeit small, issue. At certain zoom levels bilinear rendering can create white edges along the canvas borders: It's unfortunately hardly predictable at what scales these actually appear, but using nearest neighbor doesn't seem to have this issue. Also toggling hardware acceleration makes no difference. System info: Windows 10 22H2 ( HDR enabled ) Affinity Photo 2.0.0+ ( currently 2.1.0 )
  3. APhoto Version 2 continues to display a white line around the edge of photos. It comes and goes depending on zoom level. Previously reported in version 1 over several years as summarized at https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/147394-white-line-on-edge-of-image-when-first-opened/&do=findComment&comment=821427 It was said some four years ago that it is well known by the developers. They hoped to address it at some future time. I guess the future has not yet arrived for this bug.
  4. OS: Windows 10 Large image (5184x3456) When zoomed in / out, the most left/right/top/bottom pixel will in some levels render in brighter/wrong colors. In some levels the image show correct which might indicate that it's somekind of antialiasing rounding problem. 21.2% left problem: 11.5% left and top problem: 22% No problem!
  5. Images often display with a white line on the left edge, despite this not being there if you zoom in. Aside from being very distracting, in the past I have cropped these off without realising they are artefacts.
  6. This is an old bug, searching the forum found reports over a couple of years. Still in 1.9.1 on Mac (haven't tested Windows). Please fix as this requires checking the edge all the time before export! As an image editing application it doesn't help to have inaccurate display of image... https://share.getcloudapp.com/P8ukDEXv 2020 May: 2019 April : 2018 Jan:
  7. I'm an art photographer so details are important to me. At certain magnitudes in Affinity Photo, I experience a white line along the edge of my images on the left and top. If I enlarge the image (CTRL + "+"), the white border usually disappears. But it's very disturbing to work with white edges, where you do not expect a white edge. My other photo editing programs work without a white edge! I have attached screendumps with a picture with white border and an image without a white border. with-white-border.afphoto without-white-border.afphoto
