Hi, when I try to select a Spare Channel (or any other channels) with "Ctrl-Clic" from the View > Studio > Channels Panel, the contextual menu does not appear (nothing append), It only appears if you clic on the very-very right part of the panel... When watching this tutorial, this issue does not appear there https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/tutorials/photo/desktop/video/334283412/ (Btw Contextual menu on layer panel are fine) Looks like a UI issue ? Nice w-e to everyone ! Mac OSX 10.13 / Affinity Photo 1.8.4 / Mac Pro 3.1

Hello, I am consistently struggling to use the channels panel. When I watch the tutorial I see James right clicking the channels and receiving a host of option. However I am completely unable to right click any of the channels or the pixel selection option. I've had this issue with both version 1 and version 2. Any ideas why this isn't working for me? Thanks!

hi, I don't know if this has been reported: when using psd files with spare channels it is really hard to load these to pixel selection. You have to right click on a very special point over the channel name to get the dialog. Right clicking on thumbnail or name is not working. I made a short video where my clicks are marked with a blue circle. can anyone else confirm this behavior? MacOS 10.14.6 / Affinity Photo 1.7.3 right_click.mov

This may happen elsewhere too but this is the first time I've encountered it. If you click along the area (likely) covered by the name label, the context click (right-click or control-click) does not work. Click in the small area above or below the label, and it does. See attached video. This happens both on internal and external screen so does not _appear_ to be another retina-vs-non-retina behavior. macOS 11.2.2, APh 1.9.1, MBP2018 Screen_Recording_2021-03-05_at_8_50.51_AM.mov

I am a brand new user of Affinity Photo. I was following the guide at Get Started for selecting a channel from the Channels Panel, but control-click was not bringing up the contextual menu for the channel. It seemed that I had no way to work with channels. I discovered, however, that I could get it to work if I control-clicked in the narrow border *around* the label for the channel. The attached screenshot shows the contextual menu that I got when the tip of the arrow was about half-a-character below the "u" in the word "Blue". Clicking on the "u" itself failed to bring up the menu, so using repeated trial-and-error I could map out a long rectangle where responsiveness to the control-click was being occluded. This behavior occurred with every channel (Composite, Background, Pixel Selection), and persists with the v1.9.1.219 beta. Curiously, the occlusion seems to affect only control-click, because I can still alter the state of the channels by an ordinary click, e.g., clicking on the label "Composite Red" enables Visible and Editable for that channel alone. My computer is a MacBook Pro with the built-in trackpad and macOS 10.15.7.

Hello, The Spare Channel context menu that should appear when I right-click on it, does not appear at all. I'm creating luminosity masks, but I can't use them as pixel selection for masks from the context menu, (neither rename the spare channel) I am using the last 1.8.6 version on MacOS 11.1, recently bought from the Mac App Store.

Can't find if this has been mentioned but... I can right click on Pixel Selection in channels and create spare channel but not right click on spare channel to do anything with it like rename etc! I'm using a Macbook Pro and trackpad and Affinity Photo 1.8.3
