Hello I ordered the workbooks few day ago and I only got email with the order info and text that said that they will email me back when the order be dispatched someone know how long that supposed to take until the dispatch my package?

Hi I ordered both of the workbooks( Affinity Designer Workbook & Affinity Photo Workbook) few days ago and I got an Email with the order info and text that said: "We will email you once your order has been dispatched" and for few days Im waiting to this second Email but I didn't received it yet someone know how long its supposed to be untill they send you the second Email and the package? thank a lot

Does Affinity Designer work on Samsung Tablet -
When using Affinity Photo (or Designer) for illustration or digital painting, there are two features that I use super often - the brush moodier shortcut (ctrl+alt+drag left/right) and canvas rotation. The issue is that the direction of the shortcut changes to the rotation angle of the canvas, meaning I keep accidentally changing the hardness of the brush instead of thew size while working. It would be great to have this shortcut act independently and irrespective of the angle of the canvas, so that dragging left or right still affects the size of the brush, regardless of how much my canvas is rotated. As an example, if I've rotated my canvas by 90 degrees, dragging left/right changes the hardness instead of the size as it usually would when the canvas isn't rotated. When working fast, it's incredibly difficult to keep track of how much the canvas is rotated to be able to use the shortcut properly. *PS. A dedicated rotation tool for freely rotating the canvas would be an amazing addition to Affinity! 😉

Writing in Arabic letters is in an unnatural distorted form on a program Affinity designer, Not like Photoshop for example. in affinity Letters are broken and inconsistent with each other -

Hallo zusammen, Ich werde so langsam richtig sauer auf Serif, keine Hilfestellung, gar nichts kommt von dieser Firma. Alles muss man durch ausprobieren und testen sich erarbeiten. Serif Drawplus 8 war wesentlich besser an Werkzeugen ausgestattet als der Designer 1.8 und auch Photoplus war besser, da konnte man selbst noch Filter einfach nachladen, und sie funktionierten auch noch. Ich werde das Gefühl nicht los die Firma Serif meint das nicht so ganz ernst. Jedes Jahr ein update und das wars dann. Rüstet endlich die Tools von Drawplus 8 nach, ihr habt den Programmcode doch. Da gab es ein Tool zum vektorisieren von Fotos, wo ist sowas in Affinity. Wieso gibt es keine Pfade in denen man Fonts für Affinity ablegen kann, nicht jeder will Fonts in Windows installieren die man nur einmal braucht. Und dann alles in Englisch sehr Kundenfreundlich, mir geht das dauernde übersetzen ganz schön auf die Nerven. Selbst die deutschen Youtuber haben es aufgegeben dort gibt es kaum noch Videos auf deutsch. Die Aktion im Mai war wohl die reinste Werbeveranstaltung für eure Designer welche von eurem Produkt ihr Geld verdienen. Diese Veranstaltung haben für uns normal Usern gar nicht gebracht, ich hätte mich über ein paar Pinsel, Assets, Stile mehr gefreut. Wenn nicht bald ein gescheites Update kommt, in dem wirklich neue gute Tools integriert sind, könnt ihr so langsam einpacken. Ich meine damit ausschließlich Photo und Designer, diesen komischen Publisher braucht kein Mensch und wenn dann gibt es auch dafür bessere Programme. Warum gibt es keine Updates zwischendurch um die vielen Fehler auszumerzen. Ich bin richtig enttäuscht, viel versprochen aber bis jetzt wenig gehalten. Gruß Dieter -
Hi,I've just purchased a new computer. I visited Affinity site to re-download the software onto this. There appears no way to do this without purchasing again, which I obviously don't wish to do. How do you transfer or download my purchased copy? Thank you. -
Hi affinity, there is no possibility to Export All preferences or settings including View, Editing, also there is no way to export "New project-> MY PRESETS" so please add the possibility in the next updates, I mean Export/Import. Thanks 💙.

Hello affinity community, i work on photos creating vectors from the colors of the photo. Super cool effects. Eventually i find lots of palette's get accumulated in swatches. Any way to delete mass palette??? rather than one by one Thanks. -
Hi, I have today purchased and installed Affinity Designer on my home computer, so I presume I have the latest version. Unfortunately, I purchased it without first trying it. My bad. I was expecting Affinity Designer to be more advanced than DrawPlus and while in many ways it is, I discovered to my dismay that a tool that is quite important for designing logos etc., is conspicuous by its absence. And that is the Envelope Deformation Tool. I have been using Serif products for quite a while now and was quite satisfied with them until I came across this setback. This tool is very much there in DrawPlus, so why is it not included in Designer? Affinity already has the code. I cannot understand this. Serif has promised inclusion of this feature in a post back in 2018 (or so), but as yet haven't kept up to their promise. So, I presume it is clearly not on their agenda. So, my questions are: Is there a work around, where I can fit objects like text into an envelope and then deform it in Designer itself? I know there are some tutorials out there where you need to export the text into Affinity Photo and then manipulate it. That's too much of a complication. and Does Serif have a money back policy, if I am not happy with their product? I have looked thru' their website, but could not find any. I am happy to iuninstall Affinity Designer and get a refund for now. I can go back to it when things improve. My intention was to install AD and then uninstall DrawPlus, but I clearly can't do that now. It is a shame, but I need to have the envelope distortion tool. I thank Serif for dropping the price by 50%, but the envelope tool is very important for logo developers. Thanks for any guidance. -
How do you change the User Interface font size in Affinity Photo (1.5.0.45) on Windows? According to the help file, the option should be in Edit > Preferences > User Interface > Font UI Size, but it appears to be missing?

I just received my hardback copy of the Affinity Designer Workbook. It looks great. At the start of each chapter is the "Resource" box with a filename in it. Where are these files to be found!? The book says, I see green box with the filename in it... but no link info. I tried tapping on it with my finger, but nothing happened. :) -
Well I got a new idea but instead of writing Tons of lines I just decided to open a 2 questions poll to see if my idea stands. Well, can discuss about here but answering the question would talk better while the points will stand as complementary ideas. Blessings! -
I like Affinity Publisher's ligature support for Open type fonts. It is very good. Is it possible to make it more intelligent in the future to handle fonts which have ligatures in them but shouldn't use them when the font chosen doesn't support them properly for said font? Linux Biolinum Caps Linux Libertine Initials It can be sorted out manually but it would be nice if Publisher remembered fonts which don't perform well using standard settings. Aside from having the ability to change your brush view in the Brushes panel from a list to a grid/icons, it would be really nice to be able to rearrange the brush categories. Every time new brushes are added, they are added in a new category at the bottom of the category list, but that category then can't be moved up or down. This removes the ability to (for example) move all of my inking brush categories closer together and all of my painting brush categories together, to keep things tidy and organised. Basically, in the same way you can move brushes up and down in the category list, it would be great to be able to do this with the brush categories themselves too. Not a big deal, but it would be a handy little addition to the brushes panel that would be nice to see in a future update - I also can't imagine it being very difficult to implement something like this. -
I'm the typical user that have a tablet-desktop, pc-home and pc-business and have bought the affinty products. I like affinity products, but there is a big problem. There is not syncronization between programs. Taking only one example: I've added a new collection of palette colour in affinity designer in my business pc., To use this collection in Affinity publisher or maybe affinity photo, I have to export and import that collection. Now, after do any change, I have to do it again. Finally, I want to work from my home pc in a simmilar design. I have to do another importation? Yes... The templates are a good implementation, but you know the problem is still here. The same is to new capacity of publisher, that allows you to work with each of three programas. As a user I would have a solution, These days almost everithing tends to be synchronizable. Note: I'm not designer or a specialist in this area, but I always use these programs to my work. Thanks -
I'm not sure if this is a bug or my inability to understand how layers work with AD. I noticed that when I move a line it moves to another layer. It doesn't matter if the layer is locked or not. I notice this behavior when trying to connect paths as well. I haven't totally tested this yet but...the lines that I am having problems with are ones that were copied from one layer and paste into another. It's as if it remembers the layer is originally came from. The problem goes away if I paste the lines into a different drawing or file. Hi just wondering if Affinity Photo is compatible with PSD multichannel documents ? Could such a file be opened and edited and re-saved in psd format ? Does photo have its own multichannel format and can this be opened with photoshop ? Similar question for Affinity Designer, is it compatible with AI format ? Can Ai files be opened edited and re-saved in AI format ? What is the native format for Designer files and is this compatible with AI ? Ive been using Adobe apps for 25 years so very interested in Affinity products. If the answers to the above questions are favourable making the change will be a no brainer. thanks. -
(This is as well a workaround for auto tracing, until Affinity Designer will include it in an upcoming version.) In this tutorial I will show you how you can prepare a scanned handdrawing with Affinity Photo for bitmap tracing, to get a result with smooth lines and less speckles. As Affinity Designer is currently not shipped with a built in feature for tracing bitmaps, I will use InkScape for vectorization of the image. -
Hello there! I have a problem with Marquee tool and tranforms along with importing images. When I select area with the tool (Issue_1) and try to transform it (Issue_2) it gets really blurry. In the last image I did the same but in photoshop. Can I get the same result in Affinity Photo?

Font organization bug across all Affinity products

I started a thread in feedback on font organization but now honestly this issue has turned into a bug or a glitch and wanted to address it here. My original request/complaint was that Affinity Publisher (or any Affinity product) could handle font organization better, grouping the widths together as a condensed/normal/extended format. Adobe does it this way and it works well. Now however, I sent feedback to a font foundry because I thought they had mislabeled SemiExpanded to be wider that Expanded. They told me it was the case with my software not their font. I looked again and realized they were correct and want to share a screen grab from Affinity and another from Photoshop to compare. Please see how the weights and widths organization is messy but the optical illusions of the widths. It seems the word length is squeezing down the sizes as well. Since Affinity Publisher is a master layout assembly tool especially where typography plays a critical role, and where many designers use thousands of fonts and many superfamilies that are extremely difficult to navigate through in the current font organization scheme, I ask for the fonts to be displayed as they are with Adobe. This would help tremendously. I love Affinity products but this is issue a thing to deal with.

Can Affinity Photo load up 3D models like Photoshop can, so they can either be painted, or more importantly used in an image? -
This is a bit tricky to explain, so please bare with me. 😅 I've noticed that when you have a few layers in a group, and the group itself has FX applied, when you merge layers within the group Affinity auto commits the FX, and because the layers are still in the group with FX applied, they get a second instance of the FX. Here's a quick example. I have a layer group with three layers. The group itself has an "Outer Shadow" effect applied, but the individual layers don't have any FX applied to themselves - see attachment. As such, the layers within the group are effected by the FX applied to the group itself, but when you remove them from the group the FX are no longer applied. With that in mind, I merged one of the layers in the group with the layer below it (also in the group) and now the Outer Shadow effect is automatically baked into the merged layers while still being applied to the group as a whole. I definitely don't think this is intentional/by design, as the layers within the group should surely remain untouched by the FX until the entire group is merged/rasterised. Let me know if you need more clarity - I can try and take a screen recording if that will help to explain.
