Un placer saludarles de nuevo. Comparto con ustedes un nuevo proyecto de arte realizado en Affinity Designer y Affinity Photo. El Diseño vectorial fue inicialmente realizado en Designer para luego rasterizarlo para aplicar efectos de desenfoque, texturizado y ruido en Affinity Photo. Gracias por la oportunidad que me dan de presentar mi trabajo. Especialmente a todos aquellos que han hecho posible el diseño y funcionamiento de esta suite de aplicaciones Affinity con herramientas tan alucinantes y que no limitan nuestra capacidad creativa. i just did try paint something else than usually

This is my first serious attempt to make something with APhoto. I used a photo I'd taken of a saltwater marsh in Maine. I brightened up the colors a bit because they looked dull. I hope I didn't overdo it. Then I replaced the sky and water, and added two Canada geese I found on Pixabay. The sky looks real, but the water and geese look pasted on because I couldn't figure out how to make them look realer. Good enough, I guess. I haven't learned to use all the tools yet. APhoto is great fun. I'm glad I bought it.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and apps. I'm coming from using Lightroom Classic, and for the last 10 month dive into Darktable and its scene-referred workflow. I didn't consider Affinity Photo as an alternative to my overall workflow, but, well, I changed my mind :) So today, I came across @James Ritson 's article : RAW actually https://affinityspotlight.com/article/raw-actually/ I've several questions, but here are already 2 :) There is a note about 'hightlight recovery'. It seems neither the Develop persona or the Photo persona have this tool. How would you get around it ? At the beginning if the article, there is a list of step being done on the RAW image before being shown n the develop interface. Is that all the steps or may be more ? (and before the Assistant comes in) Demosaicing Hot pixel remapping Lens corrections Translation to a colour space Gamma correction Tone mapping Somehing I realy like in the develop persona is the use of a very large color space that is also linear and unbounded. I wonder if this could be also use in the photo persona. Thank you :)

I set APh to ROMM RGB in 16bit, but in the 32bit settings I can't find the entry. Where is it ? In AD and APB I can set it. Also in the APhbeta. APh 1.9.3 on Big Sur

I have been playing with Affinity Photo that I bought yesterday, and produced a mask of the foreground of an image but wanted to be able to refine it more, so I saved the selection to a channel (whatever that means). I reversed the selection, deleted the background, added a layer below the image and flooded it with a color. Instantly I noticed there were a few leaks, so I clicked on the selection menu but saw no option to load the selection from whatever the channel it was saved to before. So, how do I load a selection from a channel? I should add that I was able to get back with a bunch of Ctrl-Z presses and then saved the selection to a file. But if I had not, I would be very frustrated right now, so I would like to know how to load it from a channel for future reference.

Skimming @dannyg9's Skin Art Magazine 177 design, I thought I'd try my hand at a Trash Polka tattoo design. All white area is transparent (including the typography). Suggestions for composition improvement would be appreciated.

How to increase the area of a trimmed object keeping the original pixel content? Or, how to go from A to B? I ask this because when using the Perspective Tool, despite having enough canvas to stretch the object, this becomes partially hidden. Its like the original area acts like a mask.

Most of this drawing was done with affinity designer. Affinity photo was used for some elements. It was a trial and error process took about a month to complete. A few tweaks have been made.

Here is my first attempt at using Affinity Photo to separate a subject from the background. Took my several attempts but here it is exported as a silhouette.

It's a long time since I last posted, I've been busy all through lockdown, using Affinity Designer and Photo everyday for creating content for a large charity website. All enjoyable, sensible work! But I've been a Serif customer for 12 years now, and this experiment with Affinity Photo and Twisted Brushes stems back to the days when a group of us just used to experiment and push boundaries. Using just three Twisted brushes, I first created the yellow shape on the left and thought it looked like an angry ostrich. Mmm. Better make another ostrich opposite - these brushes are great and create unexpected patterns when woven around the page. The second ostrich seemed to be recoiling from the first. Chosse a different brush and create fabulous foliage and some water. But it needed a story - so a third Twisted Brush creates a couple of rather supernatural beings who are trying to goad the two ostriches into a proper fight. I just loved what I could do with the brushes.

I found a random waveform hand drawn on the internet, downloaded it, cleaned it up in Affinity Photo, and actually sonified it, by using the photo as a mask for a rainbow gradient. Then used an imagemagick command to convert to hsl colorspace and resize to one pixel high, and voila, the hue channel level value matches perfectly to the height of the waveform, and you can then use it to get actual sound when importing to Audacity as raw data.
