I need to crop a number of scanned images and want the resulting crop of each to be the same dimensions so that when I resize the images, they're all uniform. Trying to adjust the crop according to the vector crop tool's size indicator is too fiddly and time consuming. Is there a way to resize the crop in a similar fashion to resizing the image itself by entering the width and height in the transform window, or is there another, better way to get the result I'm after? Hello team. I'll tell you: When I activate the live "perspective" filter on a pixel layer, the view is corrupted and shows the error shown in the attached video. The error does not happen with vector layers. Hello. Maybe I pressed something, maybe it is a bug, but I have color background behind any new text. (Artistic and Frame.) The background is smaller than this which you can set in Character Panel. The text itself do not have any styles nor decorations applied. When resetting defaults in document in (Edit Tab) and reverting text to defaults, color background stays. Text with issue: Text with set background in Character Panel: Text copied from new document: I am using newest version of Designer - 2.2.1.

Hello, I am trying to adjust my stroke on some text and the adjusting slider and unit pad are both being very buggy. When I try to slide the stroke up slightly, the adjuster slider goes straight to 106.4 pt or higher. Regardless of which exact unit it is at, the slider is all the way to the end. At that point, it won't let me slide it back at all, or it might go down a few points. If I tap the beginning of the slider, it will go back down but again if I try to slide it slowly forward, it jumps straight to 106.4 pt or more. Then I tried to adjust the stroke by tapping on the 106.4 pt sign and punching in 50 pt. The slider goes to 53.2 pt, then I try to get it to 55 pt and it goes to 58.5 pt. In other words it's all over the map. I am using an iPad Pro 12.9" 3rd Gen. It's running Affinity Designer (all three apps are installed) and it's updated to 2.2.0. My iPad is updated to 17.0.3. Affinity Designer 2.1.1 cannot open a svg if the file is encoded in ASCII. When I change the encoding to UTF-8, then it works just fine: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ascii" standalone="no"?> <svg version="1.1" ... => <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?> <svg version="1.1" ... Is there a reason why Affinity doesn't support ASCII (Inkscape does).

Hola: Desde la ultima actualizacion de Affinity Designer el programa se cierra inesperadamente, esto sucede tanto en la version MSIX y en la version EXE, incluso el cierre del programa sucede cuando no se está trabajando en él, simplemente estando en espera, hasta el momento no he encontrado ninguna solucion en los foros, ya intente realizar la reinstalacion del programa en ambas versiones (MSIX y EXE) pero en ninguno de los casos esto recuelve el problema, ojala me puedan indicar de que forma se puede solucionar esto...

Please add single layer export (what exports whole layer). there is current way what allows save only area of document what is inside of document. and one trick what works if imported image is same format where document is.(clipborad tricks what convert layer document profile when is creates new). if somethign what i dont seen even tried search this forum and web please tell.

I like to use currently existing noise feature for strokes and fills that can be accessed by clicking on it's button in the color panel. However, when turned on, it gives the results that don't match the exported, finalized artwork. Moreover, it is hard to work with because it 'masks' the actual colors in the artwork overview. I know that APhoto has a live filter 'Add Noise', but that is not the point of this topic. Can Noise feature from ADesign be tweaked to give more realistic result and less intrusive during the workflow? This is in the preview from the artboard with noise turned all the way to 100%. This is exported jpeg image as the result.

Hi, Since the first Version of Affinity Designer 2 I have this problem: When I deselect an object, the selection border of the curves still persist. This is a big annoing problem that forces me to close and reopen the file in order to have a clear and clean view of what I'm creating every 5 minutes 😭

Hi everyone. I was working on a file, everything was going perfectly, but now I can't open it anymore. I would try to recall exactly how it happened: I used "force quit" from my Mac to exit the document as I had to leave quickly, and then internally from the hard drive I moved the file I was working on from its current location on the Mac to a shared OneDrive folder. Later on, after restarting the computer, I tried opening it but it gets stuck on "Loading 1 Document" forever (waited for a day), and in the process my Mac's CPU usage rampage to 100%. Since then, I haven't been able to open it. Note I can still work normally on other files without any issues. I have tried a few things: I sent the document to a friend who was able to open it without any issues. I asked him to save it with another name and send it back, but I still can't open this new file. I also asked a friend to copy a few elements from inside the file to another new one and send it to me, but still can't open this new one. Following forum's guidelines: I am using the latest version of Affinity Designer 2. I can upload the document but I would need you to provide a safe link. General Description: Operating System MacOS Monterey version 12.6.3 (21G419). Hello forum folks, hoping I can get some assistance with this issue and that I'm just missing something obvious. I'm working on a laptop (windows) and find that the majority of the UI (text, icons, etc.) is too small. Some of the fonts scale correctly to my system preferences, but most are microscopic. I have googled and it says there should be a UI font scale option or icon scale option under the User Interfaces section of the preferences menu, but I cannot see it (see attached - screenshot in designer v2). If I can't fix this, it's really going to limit my ability to work with any of the affinity v2 apps on this device. TL;DR: How can I scale up the UI for v2 apps on windows? Any help appreciated.

I am newbie to everything design that also includes photoshop/indesign. I'm not if I used the correct words. I want create a sticker with separate text layers with a black fill behind it like this: but aligning stroke to outside and increasing the width to the text give me this result: So far the work around for me has been duplicating this above and changing the fill to black and then send it behind the original text, that is to create this effect Is there a way around this without combining the two text layers? I know that that is the easiest solution but I like working with multiple text layers. I have attached the document. I tried the contour tool but AD kept crashing, so I can't use that. Thanks. I seem to unable to set the stroke size for my linework correctly, the values I input are changed and the slider jumps. 2022-12-24 10-12-45.mp4 2022-12-24 10-18-35.mp4 This is on Windows 10 22H2, Hardware acceleration is disabled. I am using a GTX 1070 (notebook version) with last standard GPU driver 472.84 (for some reason, I encounter bugs on the DCH drivers). But this never led to issues in Designer 1.9 and up. Nor did I see this in 2.0.0.

For me to participate in the Beta, I would like the Beta to import any customisations I made from V2. My V1 settings are no longer up to date (in the sense that I made major tool, toolbar and hotkey modifications. While I could load the shortcuts from V2, this still leaves any other UI customisations and settings alone. Is this a technical limitation to the way the Beta is installed currently?

Hi, I was wondering if there is scripting or macro support in AD2? ? At the moment, I use AHK to achieve some form of automation, but it's not always reliable. So I am wondering if there is scripting available in AD2 and if not, why not?

Eu descobri esse erro quando estava fazendo uma ilustração, e fui usar os pincéis do Frankentoon - Rough Shaders, mas depois dos testes percebi que esse erro acontecia nos outros pincéis também. Fiz o mesmo teste na ultima versão do affinity designer 1, e estava funcionando normalmente. Bem, agora vamos para explicação: Numa folha A4, fiz 3 linhas usando o pacote Fineliner brushes para facilitar nos testes, todas com Butt Cap e tamanho 60 pt Fiz a primeira linha em azul, usando a pen tool, da mesma largura do papel a segunda em rosa na metade da largura da primeira e a terceira em verde na metade da largura da segunda IMPORTANTE: eu fiz as três linhas SEPARADAMENTE, e não copiei a segunda da primeira e diminui o tamanho Usei o pincel Stipple 6 - Anti-stretch, tamanho 60 pt como já dito anteriormente, e é configurado para repetir como mostra na imagem Depois, eu dupliquei o primeiro grupo de linhas Aumentei manualmente a segunda e terceira linha pra ter o mesmo tamanho da primeira E, acontece que, a textura estica mesmo que esteja configurado pra não esticar , mas se mudar pra esticar ele não muda no papel, só no preview dos pincéis. Hi How do I export to pdf a file in Affinity Designer 2 that is composed of two scanned images (.png) and a text frame. When I open export I only have png options. I can't see pdf. I have Windows 11. Thanks

I already have the alignment buttons in the regular toolbar, so duplicating them in the context toolbar makes no sense to me. It's a waste of UI space for those who already have access to these buttons (which I believe are in the toolbar by default). Instead, it would be possible to use the screen real-estate for other UI items.

To me, the lasso/ freehand selection tool (and polygonal selection tools) are a must have in my daily workflow. For very irregular selections, they are indispensable, especially when you also have to avoid selecting other objects close-by. It still surprises me on a regular basis that I cannot use such a vital tool after having used other software that have such selection tools. Please add these selection tools to Designer and Publisher!

I was hoping to use the vector warp feature on linked PDF and linked PNG files, to distort topographic maps. However, the vector warp feature does not affect linked files. Could this non-destructive workflow please be added for linked files?

After upgraded to Designer v2, Distribute alignment is buggy. The (Px) and ( AUTO ) button are grey out. Can’t manually key-in Px value.
