  1. When in affinity photo, and I need to find a file, and I have many files, I goto the folder I think the file will be in, and as I select a pdf or jpg file, even a png or ai file, i can see a file preview in my window, but if I select a native .afdesign file, there is no preview....this doesn't sound right. Is this an oversight or a bug or is there a setting to turn this on? right now I have to open each file to check, this is time consuming...many files... windows 10 thanks! Rob
  2. Hi. We work with SVG files, and I'd prefer not to know that the .afdesign file format even exists for a variety of reasons. For example, to save an edited SVG file, here are the steps I've found: Click on File. Click on Export. Click on Export again. Click on Save. Click on Yes to overwrite. Attempt to close the file. Click on No to avoid saving the afdesign format. Here are the keystrokes: Alt-F, E, Enter, Enter, Enter, Ctrl-W, N I'd typically expect: Ctrl-S, Ctrl-W Since these SVG files may be edited and deployed by other users using a variety of design tools, whatever extra information exists in the .afdesign format is irrelevant. Whenever I receive an SVG to edit, that extra information obviously won't be in the file. I may be missing something. How do I save an SVG as an SVG by default? Not export, save. Is there a setting somewhere? Many thanks, David.
  3. Is it possible to save changes to afphoto/afdesin file directly in Publisher? Changes are saved to only afpub, linked documents won't be changed.
  4. I'm working with a company that utilizes Adobe Illustrator - but of course, I don't use AI. I use Affinity Designer. I assured the design team that I'd be able to import their AI files, edit, and then export to AI, and the process would be seamless. However, it doesn't appear that this is the case, because whenever I import the AI file into AD, half imports correctly, and half does not. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a specific way I need to import/export AI files into AD that I'm not aware of?
  5. I think it would be an excellent idea to open up the file format shared between Photo and Designer so it can be embraced by 3rd party tools like Invision, Avocode and Zeplin.
  6. I miss the option to export to a native Affinity file in the export persona. I'm aware that I can just save the file as .afphoto or .afdesign, but sometimes my workflow consists of exporting a folder with several files (i.e. svg, jpg in different sizes) in order to make a 'package' of all the output and sources of a project. Having the a copy of the source-file in this package too would be a time-saver, because at this moment I need to move the source file into the package by hand. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
