  1. I'm using what I think is the latest version of Affinity Designer (1.8.3 and I'm using Mojave 10.14.6) and often times when I'm drawing it somehow switches to the pan tool and then I can not get it to go back to the pen tool (or any other tool). I know this used to be an issue at one time but I haven't seen it for a while but it is happening a lot for me with the latest version. Once it switches to the pan tool, it is difficult to switch to another tool. Using the shortcut keys doesn't let me switch and neither does clicking on the tools in the tool bar. The only way to get Designer to switch to another tool is to zoom out or zoom in and then it releases the pan tool and lets me choose another tool. It is very frustrating and if anyone knows how I can keep it from doing this I would greatly appreciate it. I'm also having issues with screen redraws but I'm not sure how to describe it. It seems to happen when I'm zoomed in and I click and make a node and then pull the bezier handles towards an area that is currently off screen. The handles disappear and lines showing me the length and direction of the handles disappear. Maybe this is how it is intended but I wouldn't think so because it only does this when I am working near the edge of a document. It isn't a big problem but just something that I was curious about. Other than these two issues, things have been working great for me. In my use of Designer the expand stroke is working much better and so are the boolean operations. Thanks to Matt and all the developers working on Designer! Great job!
  2. Hi guys, I seem to encounter this cursor issue whereby after applying certain adjustments and filters to the photo, I am then unable to use any any of the toolbar features like Paint Brush Tool or Crop Tool, even after selecting them.. the cursor just stays on the View Tool. You can view from the video on the lowest left hand corner, when i selected the paint brush tool, the explanation of the tool function doesn't change as well. The question is why does this happen to some of my photos and not the others? I couldn't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Regards, Luke Cursor_Problem.m4v
  3. Sometimes tool would get stuck and won't change via keys or even tool bar. Sometimes hand tool, sometimes zoom tool. GIF shows its stuck in zoom mode, but fixes itself when I select move tool. Affinity Photo 1.7.2
  4. Hi there, yes this "stuck on hand tool" (aka "View-Tool) issue still exists in August 2019 (seen in Designer 1.7.1 as well as in Publisher 1.7.2), and it's easy to reproduce. Just use the "minus-Zoom-Tool" to zoom out (option-command-spacebar) by clicks, and you're done. After that, releasing the keys leaves you in the "View-Tool". This is the case in Designer all the time, in Publisher sometimes not. Here you have come from another tool to the "minus-loupe-tool", but sometimes it works flawlessly, hmm But in both cases the way out ist easy as well ! Just type the "plus-Zoom-Tool" to zoom in (command-spacebar) and you're out of the "Hand-Tool". No need to click, just press _command-spacebar_ to get your pointer back. I consider this as a bug, but this little workaround should help you out - for now. No need to close and reopen documents. Cheers, Marcus (10.14 Mojave on a Mac)
