The details begin with this post in the questions forum but the gist of it is the zoom slider will almost never slide when one tries to drag it back & forth, but it will snap to any point on the slider scale if the pointer is clicked on that point. There are also update issues with the slider knob's position not changing when the zoom level is changed via the numeric field, on canvas, or in the Navigator panel; & the numeric field in the context toolbar does not work with the scroll wheel.

could you please copy the functionality of all zoom measurements from navigator into top left corner? - number box and slider seem disconnected (not reflecting each other) - I can't drag slider in most cases (can just click to some point) no problems in navigator. Thank you very much! Found in Photo 1.9.0.215 (RC2) and i think in Designer too.

Just another reminder to the dev team that the Zoom & View tools and contextual toolbar controls for managing zoom remain broken across the entire Affinity Suite as of the 1.8.4 release. Double-clicking the Zoom tool should result in the document being zoomed to 100% Double-clicking the View tool should result in the document being zoomed to fit. The Zoom pop-up in the contextual tool bar should be synchronized with the Zoom & View tools, as well as the Zoom slider in the contextual tool bar. there is a problem with zoom indicator. If you change the value in select, the bar does not update. If you move the zoom bar, the select does not update Thanks a lot. David Registrazione schermo 2020-02-27 alle 10.32.39.mov

Have just installed the Beta updates for Designer (1.8.2.0) and Photo (1.8.2.172). All of the Zoom controls appear to remain broken. Double-clicking the Zoom Tool *does* set the document zoom to 100%, however neither the Zoom pop-up menu nor the Zoom slider in the contextual toolbar report the change. If one then selects the Move Tool and then the Zoom Tool, the Zoom pop-up menu will refresh and reflect the actual zoom level. On the other hand, the Zoom slider in the contextual toolbar never updates to report the actual zoom level. Double-clicking the View Tool *does not* set the document zoom to “Fit”. Instead it sets the document zoom to 100%. The Zoom pop-up menu and the Zoom slider in the contextual toolbar are neither synchronized with each other, nor with the Zoom Tool or the View Tool.
